So it seems another death has come out of Hollywood just days after Bowie bowed out.

Alan Rickman, famous for his roles in Love Actually, Harry Potter and Die Hard has passed away aged 69, some reports are saying it was cancer also.

The story is still updating.

Damn!!! Not Severus Snape!

He played that character to the hilt and brought my attention to his other works. Condolences to his family, and friends.

Hans Gruber: "Uh, no, I'm afraid not. But, you have me at a loss. You know my name but who are you? Just another American who saw too many movies as a child? Another orphan of a bankrupt culture who thinks he's John Wayne? Rambo? Marshal Dillon?"

Bummer.
I always thought a huge reason the Harry Potter films were so successful was the kids being surrounded by great actors like rickman.

My sister told me about his death. Her comments via whatsapp were particularly poignant. She said:

"Dude is Metatron for reals now."

Aside from the grammatical errors involved, a perfect sentiment.

RIP Professor Snape and my favourite Metatron from the brilliant Dogma.

I have always enjoyed this actor because of his perfect performances and understated dignity even when playing a badie.

Seems an awful lot of people departing the world these days, we have sadly lost several good friends recently and nearly all of them to damn cancer.

The spouse and I were just watching Dogma last night and we couldn't stay awake. We stopped it right after the scene with him in that Mexican restaurant. How weird.

Totally sad about this.

I loved him as Marvin in the Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy movie.

Lemmy, Bowie, and now Snape- I believe they all fought as hard as they could to see in the new year. Slytherin weeps.
