I wonder about you people

I wonder what you're like in real life? I wonder why you're here? I wonder how many of you say the things you say on line, in real life? I wonder why, of all the places you could post, why here? I wonder, if ATS was a bar, would you go there? I wonder if this place has changed any of your lives?

I wonder these things as a long time reader and a people watcher. I have really come to admire some of you. I wonder if we are more alike than different?

My real life is somewhat imploding/morphing/changing so it's easy to be distracted by the Animal Farm that is ATS. Thanks for the diversion.

No, what I say is a lot worse in real life, where there aren't t&cs to keep me in line. It's colorful lol.

I'm here because a lot of stuff here is interesting and because there are a lot of good people here. I've seen people here say and do some incredibly nice things for people they don't even know.

I don't go to bars or really any place people gather if I can help it. If it was ATS, I might make an attempt. You'd find me in the rear of the place, in a quiet corner so I can watch everyone.

So, what's going on with your life? I can't tell if you mean it's positive or negative. Is it a little of both. Anything you need to vent about?

I'm a recognized disinformation agent and paid shill who has yet to receive a W-2 from whatever alphabet agency I am alleged to work for. I could really use the money, too, so I'm very concerned. I may be like Ranger Gord in the Red Green Show who was laid off 20 years ago, but didn't get the memo.

Don't believe my stats. They're all screwed up and ATS refuses to fix them.

Oh, and I drink white wine: Dry Riesling preferred, though I'll do Chardonnay if I have to, I guess.

If ATS was a bar, it would be the most insane bar ever.

there should really be a conspiracy convention. con-con. then we could all meet up and bicker and argue in person!! how fun!

In real life I'm at work, I'm here because work only takes a short time, I'm the same here as in RL and if ATS was a bar, I wouldn't bring my GF or mother here because it has changed into an ugly spite festival with stalkers, trolls, disinfo specialist, pencil neck geeks, buffoons and fools....there's also a negative side.

Many of us are just normal run of the mill people. We came here in search of like minded individuals with which to hold discourse on the world, state of play, and glaring inconsistencies fed to the general populace via the propaganda puppets.

Real life is the most important forum you hold these discussions in. You are far less likely to be dissuaded from broaching taboo subjects by shills and the like. I personally make it a point on a daily basis to find at least one conversation on subject matter that may be deemed tin-foil hat material. Waking people up does not happen on sites like this. It's like preaching to the choir.

Posting here is just a habit, it's like coming back to an ex for a conversation, because you remember how good those conversations used to be. Then the reality of what is, versus what was, sets in and you walk disappointed in yourself for thinking things could be the way they were.

If ATS was a bar, it would be a flashy but uncomfortable atmosphere. Every table or group would have a waiter that is ever present but seldom helpful. You know what I mean? Have you ever been to one of those places where the Manager comes to your group and tells you what you need? Yea it would be kind of like that. It's hard to have a good time in places like that.

This place can change lives... It can show you much. You just have to dig through mountains of fluff to find it.

I'm pretty much the same person here as I am in real life. Though my sense of humor doesn't show at all in my posts. There simply aren't enough emojis to express my nonverbal reactions & vocal pitch changes. I'm more confrontational in real life too, but it's more of a "Wait a second, wait a second. Huh? That doesn't make sense..." kind of confrontational. I wear my emotions on my sleeve, too.

Also, ATS is just one of the sites I frequent, but it's the one where I can express my craziest ideas without people judging me lol. Which is really weird. I can talk about paranormal experiences & why I became religious, and no one blinks an eye here. I could even go into detail on some of my former occult studies if I wanted to, and people would probably be interested in it here. I'm not sure if I could do that elsewhere.

As for me visiting ATS if it were a bar? Nope. Some of the people are cool & I could probably be friends with, do charity work with, or run a non-profit venture with many people here. But there's also waaaaay too much Muslim hate here. No way I'd intentionally surround myself with that, especially when I know there are countless millions of other people in the world who aren't like that. Misery loves company, but so does happiness. I prefer to surround myself with people who lift me up, rather than people who try to tear me down.

I mean dude, one of the first major threads I responded to on ATS was called "African American names! blah blah blah" and it was ridiculing my people's names, particularly on job applications. I've got 4 "funny", "foreign sounding" names in real life, even though I'm a 7th & 9th generation American (not counting my Muscogee side). So maybe I'd hang around w/the progressive, "cool kid" members in the alley behind the ATS club, but I don't think I'd pay to get into the main building.

I'm living life on the wild side today. It can always come back and bite me on the butt later.

I'm pretty much the same person you'll meet in real life. What I post is based of my curiousness and skeptical nature about the world around me. And I enjoy browsing ATS for fun when I have nothing better to do. One thing I can't do on here that I enjoy doing is gambling. Earlier I made a huge profit betting on different slots for fun. So I feel blessed for winning. Normally I lose.
