WE have back ground checks already, unless you buy from someone who is going to be selling to criminals after the gun ban.

Oh I could go on, it is so ridiculous!

OH PLEASE Everyone read this article And follow the links to all of his lies and broken promises.

I disagree. I think there are people who absolutely should not have guns. Universal background checks is the only sane solution, you need to trust your fellow gun lovers and those of us who, despite hating guns, will stand with you if the 2nd Amendment ever comes under threat (which doesn't appear to be anywhere near a possibility as of yet).

Zieg Heil.

Zieg Heil.

Everything else you say becomes meaningless when you pull crap like that. Grow up.

Looks like the narrative has been changed and now we're discussing an all out gun ban.

Yes, the nutters have arrived.

What did I tell you? They will stand around screaming "shall not infringe" while the adults try to have a reasonable discussion.

Didn't learn anything from this thread I see.

I guess insulting is the way to go when one can't refute the pro gun argument.

I missed the 'liberal' part in gun control.

Since gun control is the anti thesis to what the word means.

I suppose it means just being LIBERAL with someone elses rights.

Do we not need to overhaul the current system?

It's obviously not working, something must be done.

I fully support the executive actions that the president has taken to address the problem of rampant mass shootings.

Executive branch of Government is there to ENFORCE the laws not make them. The fact that you support him making significant legislative changes while bypassing Congress terrifies me.

Executive actions are not laws.

They are actions the president can take that don't require approval from congress. If the Supreme Court finds them unconstitutional they will be shot down.

The fact that you're pissed off at something you don't understand, terrifies me as well.

There's really no reason for gun lovers and gun haters to be so divided.

Tell that to the gun haters who blame all gun owners every time something happens. Tell that to gun haters who want to sue the gun makers when there's a shooting, but don't say sh** about suing Jack Daniels when a drunk driver kills a family.

They are the ones who do not pass the back ground checks in place right now. Does it stop them from illegally acquiring them?

The laws make everything easier for the criminals now.

They're holding private celebration parties in Chicago tonight.

Typical left-wing logic dictates that when a drunk driver kills someone, it's the drivers fault for drinking too much. But when an armed criminal kills someone, it's the guns fault.

Came across this recently:

"Shall issue" states, if you have not come across the term, means that states are required to issue a concealed carry permit unless there is a valid reason not to. Washington is an example of a "shall issue" state where California is not. In fact, California is one of the more restrictive states in the nation, along with Illinois, in restrictions. Look up the states to see which ones have the highest homicide by gun rates. (Hint: At least one is listed above.)

Tell me how it is not common sense to not allow deranged individuals to purchase high powered rifles and handguns.

I don’t know whether Obama is sincere or not. But he has to realize the GOP are in the hands of the gunners and they run congress so he can’t do anything until the climate of the country changes.

Obama isn’t going to make much of a dent in the gun laws, nor is he going against the constitution, he’s just trying to adjust regulations…no big thing no one has to worry

Doesn’t worry people you’re going to be able to get your precious guns...

The insanity in this country is intractable

Tighten loopholes that his party has been wanting to do fore DECADES.

Doesn't matter that none of the mass shooters used the means he is whining about.

Most of them were purchased LEGALLY with a background check.

And would not have stop the Lanza's who killed his mother who passed one.

Wouldn't have stop the SB terrorists who used a straw buyer.

In fact THEY DO NOTHING.
