[sigh] - you certainly fit into the demographic it seems.

Anything intelligent to add to the conversation or do you just want to stick to basic neanderthal?

When you see how the government fawned over the chinese, the saudis , Pinochet and a whole bunch of other really psycho regimes it's bloody ridiculous that they would consider banning Trump for expressing an opinion such as this.

He isn't talking about killing anyone, taking anyone's land and resources or anything. He's stating that he wants to make sure people who come to his country want to be there for the right reasons. His methodology may be open to question, but to ban him and not the others sends entirely the wrong message and those who signed this petition are at best, foolish and at worst, mischevious.

He isn't talking about killing anyone

Actually, he did. Remember him wanting to kill off families of suspected terrorists.

Not the terrorists, but their families. Even though if he ordered such a thing he would be a certified war criminal he still said it.

Did he say kill? Or something like "go after"?

Here is a quote from him:

“The other thing with the terrorists is you have to take out their families, when you get these terrorists, you have to take out their families,” Trump said on Fox News earlier this month. “They care about their lives, don’t kid yourself. When they say they don’t care about their lives, you have to take out their families.”

He certainly didn't mean take them out to dinner.

Pretty damning though nothing I haven't heard people say in the pub.
He is still so far down the list of people who should be denied entry as to not even be worth considering for such for a long time though.

Or are his words worse because he isn't left wing, a different colour or something?

Until he starts actually doing something bad rather than saying what some folks don't like to hear, I'm against banning.

It's worse because he is a presidential candidate that is vying for the authority to actualy order such things.

Yet again, the more other countries and the left (and even the right) hate him, the more I think he's the man for the job.

I for one, am tired of pandering politicians. I want someone who speaks his mind, without concern of how it may be taken.

Hate him all you want, I think it's a breath of fresh air in the dank, stagnate world of politicians.

Is he crazy? maybe. But aren't we all?

It's a matter of perspective after all.

Somehow I've managed to miss hearing that

Was reading at your source and also saw this:

"It's a horrible thing. They're using them as shields. But we're fighting a very politically correct war.

Meaning what!?

Unforgivable

Suppose he gets elected and has a democratic mandate...would it be moral then?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the Queen has nothing to do with this.

This was everyday British people and politicians exercising their right to free speech, because they found something a US presidential candidate said to be abhorrent.

Perhaps you missed the news that Jimmy Carter did the same exact policy implemented on Iranians?

Kind of takes your hyperbole to new heights?

No it just takes your ignorance about the matter to new heights. Banning people from a nation that we have sanctions against is far different than simply banning people because of their faith. If Trump were to start using the word Jew in place of the word Muslim people would be crying he's the next Hitler.

Well, you see, Buster, here is the problem. The jihadists are intermingled into the muslim populations. If they DID belong to one specific country, like Iran, then the problem would not be so complicated.

Just as they do in battle, they locate among schools, mosques, hospitals, and civilian residential areas. Excising them will inevitably affect the innocent for the time it takes to solve the problem.

But, they hide among the civilized muslim populations from many countries. The solution is going to be complicated.

Banning the majority for the actions of a minority is nothing more than collective punishment and that is against international law.

I'm guessing you have no idea of the global backlash against his comments?

That or don't care.

Fact is, your countries #1 ally has seriously considered banning your next potential president from its shores.

That should be something of a wake up call really, but if you want hatred to cloud your better judgement, then so be it I guess.

Oh pull your head out.

Despite the hilarious media presentation of Trump in the UK, the nation has not seriously considered banning him, LOL.

Get real. David Cameron is just kissing ass to look good. Cameron's REAL feelings are probably closer to Trump's than you would ever want to believe.

Furthermore if you actually opened your blinkered mind long enough to read and watch videos of the statements he has really made, then you'd look less foolish for swallowing the bias UK media.

And for the record, I personally believe the UK media in general are pretty damn good, and I am an American posting this while watching the BBC in Scotland.

In all honesty, and with all due respect, the UK should minds its business concerning politics. You have enough problems of your own here in the UK, and I would never presume to understand enough about UK politics to take a stand while I reside in the US.

I, for one, am glad that someone, officially, said SOMETHING about this looney toon.

No offense Reldra but if you think a proven habitual liar and thief like Hillary Clinton or a economics dunce like colonel Sanders is better FOR THIS COUNTRY than Donald Trump then you are the looney toon!
And that's official!

There is no bigger liar and thief running for president than Trump. 62% of the time he opens his mouth he is lying and has stolen millions from banks by defaulting on loans.

62%? LOL! Where did that come from? Stolen millions? Are you talking about the Atlantic City casino bankruptcies?

If he is lying about anything, don't you think Old Lady Hill and the rest of the thieving cushy ancients in the Dem party would point this out?

If he gets the nomination, let's watch and see JUST whose lies are exposed for REAL. If he has told any, they are minuscule compared to the ones that have come out of the mouths of Hillary and Bill.

They are all bloody liars. Trump and Clinton.

Neither have the US public’s best interests in mind.

Trumps doing it for his ego and his bank account (if he builds that wall he could have hundreds of billions from it as I bet he will be the one that builds its, hell its pretty smart as its legal embezzlement of tax money) and Hillary just has the best interests of her financial bankers.
One’s a idiot if they trust either of them to be honest.

Try telling that to the people of Scotland who Trump cut off their water supply and kicked them out their homes so he could build a golf course - the man's a dangerous idiot, there's no reason for him to be allowed in the UK after what the damage he's already caused here.
