Is it a good movie or a very much made for TV affair?

It made me think of the hanson brothers and I love that band.

Sending my own thread off topic here but...

I was going to, but I really thought by the time I typed it and hit reply, there would be 5 posts that beat me to it.

Terminator series humans still haven't won apparently.

I saw 7 on the list and I agree. Apprehending the bad guy but not before he sends you the severed head of your spouse definitely huge loss.

Night of the living dead the black and white one where the one guy makes it to the end and pops out of the chest he was hiding in and gets shot by the army, bummer dude.

Things to do in Denver when your dead, awesome movie btw.

Not a movie but the second season of True Detective does not end well for our would be heroes.

Romeo and Juliette would count right?

Thats what I've got so far.

OK Cool

So, The Green Mile with Tom Hanks and Michael Clarke Duncan. A black man with supernatural powers is on death row for a murder (Mr. Duncan). Tom Hanks plays a correctional officer who is in charge of the death row inmate.

So I guess you could look at both those characters being hero's. I was mostly thinking about the hero being the inmate. Now that I think about it more though, I guess he ends up winning after all because he dies and doesn't have to live in prison anymore. Id take the chair over life in the pen for sure. So I change my mind, he does win after all

Animal Farm was made into a movie. The good guys do not win there and they aren't meant to as it is a cautionary tale. ... at least that's the book. We have conflicting memories of the animated version. He says there is a final revolt by the animals, but I don't remember it, only the pigs becoming the new humans.

If no one has mentioned Romeo and Juliet, maybe it should be mentioned.

For me its Das Boot, it just in some ways shows the humanity of war and all we want is for them to get back to the base yet theres no chance of a happy ever after

That's the thing though isn't it?

As soon as you think about it the films that the "good guy" looses they actually win.

Michael Clarke Duncan's charecter won in my mind even though he "lost".

He was a great actor and sadly missed, on a side note he would give 5 dollars to anyone he met that knew his name and not the films he was in.

I call that a double win.

I would call that debatable as the devil is the main character. It could be said that the "hero" of the film is the devil, the core character as it were.

If that was the case then the main character of the film wins in the end.

Like a gangster movie.
