The child is innocent of what Bacon is
Obviously he likes the taste ... probably the saltiness
And reacts to his parents laughter and plays up to that with his little "Bacon chant"

Wonder how the child may feel when he understands what goes to make Bacon

probably like having another piece of it.

Having made bacon myself....its just some good half fat/half meat pork (belly works great, back works good, too), salt, and smoke.

a reply to: MayanBoricua Agreed, bacon is alright but no better or worse than beef steak, pork chops, or chicken, it's just meat.
I've never understood the crazy orgasm members of ATS have in bacon threads, are your lives so crap that eating bacon is like the best thing ever? Ridiculous.

You reply is an assumption

My point still stands ... The child does not know he is eating Pig flesh

There are numerous vids of children refusing to eat varying types of meat when told what the meat actually was

I have a friend who I have known all my life.
I remember his parents feeding him his first solid food ... when he learnt what it was he would spit it out but was forced to eat it as it was "Good for him"

I don't think a point was made. A soapbox was pulled out, certainly.

Even pigs like bacon.

Now imagine if animals could talk, they'd be telling us what animals they thought tasted good.

Heres the feelgood video for the vegans;

Don't think my youngest grandkids have ever experienced bacon. Love it myself.

They loved raw cucumbers, carrots etc.

2 yr old granddaughter asked her dad for yogurt. He waited a bit and brought out some mac and cheese. She says "no thank you Daddy, yogurt please. It is plain yogurt.

Wow what a boring child.

... who will likely live a "boring" life free of diabetes and heart disease.

My daughter is the same way and I get so annoyed when people criticize our family (or anybody) who chooses to not poison themselves or their children. I don't hound others about their diets because it isn't any of my business. It's such a sour grapes attitude.

Sorry I will not be distracted from the point I made

The child does not know what Bacon is ... in truth it has not been given free choice

my apologies....but veganism tends to stand on soap boxes exclusively. perhaps i misunderstood.

Side note: wild pigs actually will eat pork. Don't even have to cook it....they'll eat directly from the corpse. Not preferentially...but it happens.

I think its that we enjoy the ire from the moral high ground of the anti-bacon crowd.
