I have a lot of friends. But most of my smart and hard working friends are black. Most of the white kids I hire are the laziest sobs I have ever come across. Everytime I hire some 25 year old white kid they skip out on doing hard work. They will do a skimpy job whilst doing it. Some have even stolen from the till and told me the black kid did it.

I hire blacks , Hispanics and whites in my trade as foreman. I don't know what trade you are in but in mine I can't say one race tends to be smarter or harder working. I have had a few losers here and there I fired and didn't last and from each group. I never heard another employer generalize an entire race in such a manner as you have from simply experiencing a few bad apples. I'd guess demographic has some affect but even that is not logical in the grand scheme of things.

Sounds like you are suffering from white guilt , assuming you are white.

Or you are a flat out bigot

Anyway what you just said is incredibly ignorant and racist. You are part of the problem.

read the article, its outstandingly flawed.
Starting with his views on sexism, he suggests its mostly men seeing women as body parts and sexual beings, men objectifying women.
I assure you that this is a two way street. his sexism comes when he suggests that its a male thing pretty exclusively..the suggestion that women are therefore non sexual non desire filled people who can equally objectify men (does he even watch the outragous rise of boybands, muscle men, etc?!)

As you reap comfort from being white, we suffer for being black and people of color. But your comfort is linked to our pain and suffering

Bullcrap. he is using his position and authority to tell people of all nationalities to stop looking past color and instead, embrace a victimhood you simply dont feel in order to feel different. this is segregationism coming back in philosophy..stop feeling integrated, find your corner, then feel oppressed/oppressive.

This man needs to be ejected. racism shouldn't be tolerated anymore.

"I speak in love and want you to truely accept what I am saying is that you are a racist and I am oppressed..signed, a university professor"....lol
what a useless class he gives, this is what philosophy has degraded to? demanding you are a slave because..history and numerical reality

Terrible white people being the majority..tell you what dude, goto china and talk about how they all need to change because there are too many chinese...you want actual institutional racism, try out any non-white country and watch this progressive acceptance for self flagellation for being born into a color you %#&^$#^ charlatan.

Every episode of white racism is in the history books to look over and whine about, but history has nothing to do the shortcomings of blacks today. You try and use history as a excuse but with ALL of the benefits blacks have today for just being black there's no excuse and I advise you look inward instead of trying to blame the people who have provided blacks with all the short cuts to make it in this society.(whites). Blame a black culture that ridicules other blacks for reading a book or using proper grammar.Blame a culture that calls other blacks uncle tom for getting good grades.
I know for a fact that blacks are far more racist than whites. This professor owes a lot to white culture. If he grew up in sub-Sahara Africa(black Africa-Kenya,Nigeria,Sudan,Congo,etc.) He wouldn't even have a written language to express his views. They haven't invented the written word yet.
I'm so sick of all the whining and blaming of whites for everything. Let's just segregate everybody and let the chips fall where they may. Then we'll see who's using who.

No matter which way you look at the history of humanity - from religious or scientific creation viewpoints - humans have been the worst thing to happen to other humans. Historic and religious texts are filled with greed, jealousy, power struggles, and stupidity. The people, places, and scale of atrosities change...but it's all basically the same story.

Until that stops being the way humanity functions...racism is here to stay.

As for this guy's opinion...he's way off base. His broad, sweeping generalization of the sexes and races just showcases HIS ignorance and HIS shortcomings...not everybody else's.

His arrogance reaches astronomic levels when his "gift" comes with the extra snark that, should you disagree, you're exactly as stupid as he knew you'd be.

His attempt at being profound is a failure. These kind of thoughts only make racists worse...and, terribly, serve as fuel for their fires.

HE may be sexist with the excuse that he's a man...but I was raised to treat people with empathy, kindness, and compassion. I can control my behaviors, and I'm quite capable of seeing racism for what it is - disgusting.

No, I'm not racist...and it's completely idiotic to paint racism in such broad strokes.

So the conclusion here is that because I am white, no matter how I behave or treat people, I am and cannot help but be racist because society was set up by white people. So I am screwed no matter what and I just better embrace it and feel guilty about it.

No!

You obviously don't "get it". How poetic based on your previous comment towards me...

You lack the ability to discern information in its proper context. However, you are very confident despite all that. It's called "living in a bubble of ignorance".

And no, you don't know my experience in life. I am married to a minority man myself with a mixed race child.

Please, lol...where did that come from...? What part of my comment made you feel the need to share that personal stuff....?

You should go through the my postings (Philosophy and Metaphysics). The fact you label your "spouse" as "a minority man" confirms everything.

*** I read you....like a book....LITERALLY***

Who do you think you are talking to...?

You are here for distraction and entertainment. I will entertain you, my friend...

Here is a challenge for all that believe the letter to be "racist".

Someone name ways in which the white man is discriminated against in America. And compare that to blacks.

Also, are you calling the man racist because he is sharing his personal experience? The last time i checked, racism relates to a race of people manipulating or participating in a society that sees people of one genetic dispostion (hue specifically) as superior to another.

So we could very well be subconsciously participating in Systematic racism.

Indeed. He needs to be put in his place and slapped back into reality, and I'll stay right here in America, but thanks for your permission. Do you think a fist fight is violent?

Edit: What the hell does freedom of speech have to do with my post? You people are always the first to scream that you're free to speak, but don't be surprised if someone does something because they don't like what you said.

Put in his place? Slapped back into reality? Yes, assault is violent.

Your lack of respect for the laws of this country are concerning.

Please define "You people" here. You are claiming you would assault someone for words he wrote. I think you need to stop and think a bit more.

I agree. Bullies abound. They want you to think they are so nice but step on their pride and POW! The chameleon changes color that fast, revealing their true self.

Full of hate.

You casually dismiss the slaughter of literally billions of people throughout history simply because they weren't killed by 'White' people.

You point blank refuse to admit what is so obvious - no one race is unique in its ability to commit barbaric acts and to subjugate others based purely on race or creed.

Your self-hatred is so evident for everyone to see.

I don't casually dismiss murder of anyone. You want me to focus on the little sparks at our feet while a forest fire rages behind you?

People like this prof, make a judgement about others based upon their skin colour (White, ergo racist) which is, exactly what people get castigated for by "anti racists". Kind of strange.

Take it a step further though and you can probably see how his warped worldview gains validation (In his eyes).

You are at a party and this guy comes up to talk to you, now, knowing what you know, are you likely to want to have anything to do with the whingeing git? I know I wouldn't. Life's too short to be dealing with people with "issues" in such an environment and so he might feel snubbed by people who don't want to hang around with someone who just routinely brings the mood down.

He's probably left with a small group of black folks who think the same as him and a smaller group of self loathing sycophants who agree with him too. Everyone else will fall into the category of racist or "uncle Tom".

The thing is, if you dislike me and my face, my lifestyle etc. don't expect me to want to socialise or work with you. I don't go out of my way to spend time with people I don't like, I certainly don't want to spend time with people who don't like me, but getting all angsty, as this bloke has, makes such a thing an even less attractive proposition.

I should add that it's extremely unlikely that our paths would cross socially, since I'm just a working class bloke from England and I doubt we would go to the same parties

Pol Pot killed about 25% of his nation, that's not significant? Doesn't matter the color of skin, humans of all sorts can be pretty damn depraved.

Sure its "significant". What happened in Cambodia right next to Vietnam happened as a result of what happened in Vietnam right after what happened in Vietnam. And What happened in Vietnam wasn't caused by people living in South East Asia.

That whole region wasn't bettered as a result of US presence there, it was decimated.

It is very ignorant to try to paint this by shear numbers.

For starters, there are more people alive in Say just london today than all of greece in Alexanders time.

So obviously the numbers will be much higher in wars today.

Edit: But who started them? Alexander waged aggressive war in a bid to dominate the world, just like NATO is today. Greece is also a member of NATO, just saying.

.it was however the custom of the Africans to make slaves of those captured from other tribes. It was their own damn people who created the slaves and sold them to the slave traders.

For the whites. There wouldn't have been a slave trade without the Europeans. The ships anchored off the shore of Africa where European. They didn't come ashore and "capture slaves" because they always get others to do their dirty work for them.

Its easier to send in locals to catch people unaware, anyway. White guys would be spotted easier in the African bush, ya think?

This nation has borne the shame of slavery and racism since the mid-1960s. Further, it was, back then, more than over-due. Our history had carried it on into the first half of the 20th century.

However, five decades have now passed; a half century. Today, laws hold ALL citizens as equals. To allow one's self to be led to a forced-carry of such a burden is basically, pointless, if not a clear example of what could be termed, 'reverse-racism' and utter, blatant hypocrisy.

When I see how certain movements seek to make my grandchildren's generation guilty for what people they never even knew did, it is absolutely appalling... and quite sickening. I am left with no option but to suggest that they turn their backs and walk away by denying that yoke being tossed upon them.

It's time to move on.

So, what some do, surely all of that group are as well guilty of?

In theory, no. In practice… tell what you just said to the millions of German and Japanese civilians that died in cities from thousand bomber raids during WWII. Civilian populations were intentionally targeted, carpet bombed, firebombed and nuked even. You may say, "Thats war", but really, looking back (or forward to the threat of the same annihilation promised by Thermonuclear war, that will target cities) is, was, will that really be necessary?

According to the war planners it is. They're MAD. I'll leave out skin color there, too.

Sorry, I was raised to see value in a person for who they are and what they do. I was raised to see that we are all human beings.

I refuse to accept that I am guilty of anything..because other whites were racist.

I am not.

Me neither. I was just pointing out the 800 pound gorilla in the room.

Really?

Things have changed that much in the South? On paper maybe. That "all men are equal" constitutional document was the law in the days of slavery, too.

Go tell the BLM movement how equally the letter of the law is applied today. Go tell it in Ferguson how equally they are all treated under the law.

Yes.

Go tell them not to rob stores and then riot, burning down innocent people's businesses and homes.

It's got two sides.
