I do not understand the closed minded harshness of debunkers. We really don't know it all

I'm not saying that any of this is true, but I see no reason it couldn't be.

Some of these threads would be more interesting if doors were left open a crack instead of immediately slammed shut with a deafening Bang.

The Gray Area and Skunkworks might be more your speed.

Just sayin'.

As opposed to the Aliens and UFO forum?

Regardless of why members post videos and theories in this forum, it is their right to discuss them in an intelligent manner without the fear of ridicule and thread derailing by those who seem to take joy in it. www.abovetopsecret.com...

I'm all for out-of-the-box thinking, but without real evidence, out-of-the-box thinking such as the information presented in the OP's is just a bunch of meaningless rhetoric.

I mean, what distinguishes Barbara Lamb's message from just a bunch of made-up stories? Why would someone just automatically believe her words? Because what she says is "cool alternative stuff"?

Are all cool alternative stories real just because they are "cool and alternative"?

This is more for the Skunkworks forum which was designed for alternative views that lack evidence.

Because there is such a stigma when it comes to UFOs, ET etc. extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. Sheesh, any proof. These so called professionals that hock their wares ( books , symposiums, etc) are truly what is wrong with this genre. In all likely hood these people started out railing against what they inevitably became which is a detriment to UFO study.
This lady, David Jacobs (new book out last month! Get it hot off the presses!) and the like are truly the Anti-ufologist that drags down fact and hard data based study of the subject. It's a shame.

Right. Just as there is no reason that unicorns couldn't exist. But they don't.

Or God. Or Zeus. Or any of those rascally guys and gals from Olympus.

I've personally had too many weird experiences since first memory to completely slam the door. ya know

Maybe you haven't, but I have. And other people claim they have.

Honestly, we know very, very little.

A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it. Fifteen hundred years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll know tomorrow.

Well, no. That's backwards, and wrong. Fifteen hundred years ago educated people (and a lot of others) knew the world is round but five hundred years ago they started figuring out that the Earth moves around the Sun and proving it (which wasn't easy with the tools they had), though some had considered the idea previously.

Honestly, we know very, very little.
Doesn't mean we don't know anything. See above.

So, are you going to pay this fine lady money to hear more about her claims?

I'm gonna be honest and tell you I worked 5 years at a self help/metaphysical publishing company.

I know some of the people that write these books. Its about the money.

However, some are sincere, and really believe what they promote. Others ?????? Wackos!

Deepak Chopra really believes his spiel, however, his agent is a New York Jewish Lawyer. When it comes to business, he says, "Talk to my lawyer".

So, that would be a "no" then. No money for her?

You lasted 5 years in that environment?

I'm a "buyer beware" - - - personal responsibility person.

I can't determine what a person feels they need. What personal experiences they've had. What they feel they need to connect to.

Bookstores are closing all over the place. There is so much free on the Internet, books are becoming almost obsolete. So, no - - I personally won't be buying any books. (Well, I did gift someone with David Good's book about finding his Amazon mother).

5 years? The money was very good.

Yes, I know. Fortunately the one in my neighborhood is flourishing. Selling both new and used. I love it. It smells good.

It's not a specialty shop though as your seems to have been.

Cool.

I'm currently in the Los Angeles area, so I can find niche stores. Something I missed when I was in Arizona.

We had a small shop on Milwaukee in Chicago called "The Occult Bookstore". Gem of a place and always a worthwhile road trip. Not sure if it's still there.

Edit: Turns out it is.

I'm someone that's very open minded yet very skeptic.

I'm not saying that alien hybrids don't exist but she seems to be talking BS.

I think that what she's describing is going on, but I am disturbed by her apparent approval of it. It's as if her reaction is a coping mechanism.

Did you happen to see this in the OP?

She personally knows and interviews a dozen people living among us who have enough ET DNA, heritage and continuing contact with the beings who created them, to be considered ET-Human Hybrids.

Wouldn't you agree if that claim is made then evidence should be available?

Is it not reasonable to ask for such evidence?

Is an acknowledgement from the OP too much to ask? This is supposed to be discussion.

There's no evidence of gods either --- but, that subject seems to get at least a little respect for discussion.

BTW, I'm atheist ---- so let's not go any further in that direction.

Strange thought process there. On what basis can she claim knowledge of their ''ET DNA''. Sounds to me like you're saying if she made it up, you're good with that.

No. I only say we don't know everything. We only know what we know.

Science is known knowledge.

Does science not discover previously unknown science.

I am not actually supporting her claims. But, I can't factually prove them wrong either.

It is sometimes hard to remember that the debunker is usually someone who has not witnessed anything, and so their view is naturally the view of total ignorance. The way they talk though, they attempt to appear as the smartest ones around. This is real comedy considering their view is based on no personal experience or knowledge whatsoever, and this ignorance is being paraded around as sensible and sane, with an added air of pompousness. I find this hilarious.
