One of the busiest shopping days of the year is Dec. 26th, my mom and grandmother used to love going out and catching the after Christmas sales, it's a tradition for lots of people and fun to soak up that last bit of Christmastime.

Witness the Christmas spirit of today's self-obsessed, self-absorbed youth.

Maybe you should need some kind of license to be a parent.

How dare they disturb such a high place of worship, a temple of sacred wisdom.

The original source article lacks any sort of specific information and how could it with only five sentences. I highly doubt there were 1000 to 2000 teens at this one mall, that is an incredible amount. Teenagers fight occasionally and it is part of life. I am guessing there really was 10 to 20 teens and feeling overwhelmed exaggerated the number.
Who really knows. There aren't journalists anymore.

Here is some video to go with the story

Also it would seem this mall has a history of consumer violence during certain holidays where consumer ignorance will be at its worst.

Kids will be kids I suppose??

oh there were certainly at the very least 'hundreds' of young people contributing to the disturbance, and you can see that starting @ 1:50 in the video. Supposedly there was even a fire at a business nearby, possibly associated with the troublesome youth in question.

Ah, as I suspected, the video confirms my first thought after reading your thread title. Almost every time I see something like this, it's the same.

This isn't a problem with all "youths", or all "teens" by a long shot.

I was disappointed as well when my inference was proven correct, but oh well. I stick to my original statement.

What I find most disconcerting of all is that you have used the words "fun" and "Christmas" in the same sentence.
