Merry Christmas my beautiful friend Night Star

I had a good cry this morning as I thought of all the little children who have dead beat parents who just dont get it. There are 10's of thousands of children who will be forgotten today, that will not know the joy of a well lit Christmas tree, a new toy or clothing, even food.

Love is something we all come in ready to give and receive.

I also picture people alone, either at home or in the streets who have noone, but it is also one of the loneliest lives to be surrounded by those who you love that show no love in return. Things cannot replace true love and appreciation for us in all of our imperfections.

One of the saddest places to be is lying next to a mate with their back turned and feeling so completely alone even miles apart while laying next to them, been there done that and would rather be blissfully alone than with someone who does not 'get me'.

There is a difference between being lonely and being alone. One counts on others to fulfill and the other relies on self alone. Until you can feel comfortable with your aloneness, even crowds cannot help you drop loneliness.

So if you find yourself alone one way or another this Blissful season, take a minute to champion your own self, to feel your heart, your worthiness, joy, friendliness to yourself and be happy that you have yourself.

Buddha said

"You as much as anyone else, deserve your own love and affection."

Merry Christmas, and a warm and peaceful winter season...

I'm sure Nef used to do a thread like this every year?
Anyway it must be awful to be alone on Christmas and I hope those who are alone and cruising ATS are at least finding some comfort online and having a laugh etc.

Merry Christmas to all ATS members, those who are surrounded by loved one's and those alone.

It seems its the only topic for Christmas 2015, the others are for holydays, I wish to all people happy Christmas and never forget that the most important thing is family. Keep your people close and make them happy. Good health.

Thank you! And for anyone who might not have any family, friends can be family too!

Happy Yule Night Star,

this is such a wonderful thread, it brought my spirits up a little. Having my girls 4500 Km away really affects me this time of year.

Thank you.

It sucks when family members are spread out too far. One of my Brothers and his kids and their kids live too far for visits at Christmas. I'm glad this thread helped to bring your spirits up, if even a little. I did well through Christmas eve and earlier today, but now it's really kicking in that Mom is gone and it's our first Christmas without her.

Happy Yule to you!

a reply to: Night Star Hope your day has been warm and twinkling with Christmas joy!
Since William was busted living and eating at a neighbors house on thanksgiving, (as if his dad and I don't give him everything he could want with lots of lovings) he has been on total lockdown. Today, William got to go outside! (with new leash and harness) He is a big burly cat that gets fluffy in the winter and someone remarked how nice and big he is... I'm so proud of my fur baby.
Merry Christmas Nightstar and ATS! Looking forward to the New Year!

Your cat sounds gorgeous! Hahaha, cats don't care where they eat, as long as they eat. There is a lovely cat that we see around our yard all the time. He/she looks well fed. I don't know if it's a neighbor's cat or a well fed stray as it has no collar. Sweet thing though, lets me pet it and then wanders off on his way.

That's ok if it is by choice. I myself would never want to be alone on Christmas and would be very sad.
