That is the story the video tells on the surface, yes.

Madonna always fought for creative control over everything. She was actually involved with the making of the music video, developing the concept, which she then further developed with the director. The director even agreed that they would focus on 'religious ecstasy' and use the racist story as a story aspect.

That's an interesting take. I've heard about MK Ultra being involved with performers, but I've never looked into that topic a great deal. For me, I see a lot of clear satanic messages in song lyrics, music videos and concerts.

Thanks, ThinkingCap! It is amazing. The better you see, the more you see. So many songs and videos that I've loved are clearly quite different in intent than I've always taken them for in the past.

That would be something. It must be fun to sing a Madonna song.

I never learned to sing. I'm a guy, so if I could sing I would pick songs sung by men, of course. The Moody Blues has some I always loved.
