To be fair, if I could arrest someone for insulting my dog, I totally would. My dog is the best dog in the whole world ever, if you disagree you are wrong. My dog could beat up your dog.

I strongly suspect that in the coming decades, Thailand's monarchy will lose a lot of its power. And rightly so, as nobody should be put in gaol for saying things, even if those things aren't very nice to dogs. International pressure will increase along with globalisation, the monarchy will be obliged to reduce its power over civilian citizens in order to avoid economic sanctions etc etc.
