I am not a Hillary fan, and while referring to the Republican Clown car, the Dems are offering nothing but an old Socialist, and some guy most have never heard of. The Republicans have admitted that the Benghazi BS was nothing more than to take Hillary down, and you have the nerve to call her out for lying? Reality is that the US needs to take a good look at who we even let run for office.

She totally screwed up Benghazi and try to clean it up with Rice's video tape road show, so there really isn't anyone to blame in holding her accountable. I would pick Sanders over her, hell I would pick Trump over her, but she is most likely our next president unless something really bad comes out other than she is a failure in everything and a pathological liar.

I had read, though it would take me some time to source it, that there were special operations troops in Italy, with aviation assets available to them.

Wouldn't have taken too long, but I don't think (if memory serves) they would've gotten there "in time."

Which was the reason given for them not being sent, I think.

As a veteran I am sorry for the loss of American lives in any situation, they were my brothers and sisters in arms. But the Congress has now spent more money and time investigating the loss of 4 lives in Benghazi, may they rest in peace, than they did investigating September 11, 2001, or December 7, 1941, when exponentially more lives were lost in both incidents. Trey Gowdy should be impeached and imprisoned for straight up fraud.

I am not upset with you exposing Hillary, I am upset with the hypocrisy of the right. Bush and Cheney put a whole boat load of people in the line of fire trying to cover their asses, and none on the right are willing to condemn them, or hold them accountable to the same standards. Cheney is probably the most corrupt figure in modern politics and should have be imprisoned years ago, I have followed him since the 80's.

I will edit to add: I lived in Colorado for 16 years, had many friends that worked for Halliburton, hired a few after they had been let go. Cheney was a Senator for a state 90 mins away, and he made the news often. He is a scumbag, and the whole Halliburton organization is focused on nothing more than what they can screw the government out of.

They were in motion and were told to stand down.

I've always wondered, even if they couldn't get there in time, why the team wasn't sent anyway to secure the area and lock down the consulate, or at least destroy/scuttle the consulate. With a CIA annex there as well, it must have been loaded with classified information and we don't know if the 20-30 survivors were able to destroy everything before they evacuated. Maybe we'll know one the NDA they were forced to sign is no longer in effect.

More people have died in Lybia, and Syria than GW's 'reign' of terror
