Very true and rarely said.

We all die and I think that we are far too squeamish about it. If the media tells us to pretend to be indignant about something though, many will do so.

Post fail x infinity cubed.

Summary executions by State sponsored death squads are a concern for us all. Why? Later or sooner they start doing it to everyone and not just the "criminals" as they find a way to criminalize everyone in order to justify the summary executions.

What is so hard to see about that?

Is it because right now the victims are black and you're not?

Possibly because the alleged killer has been arrested. NOT put on PAID suspension. NOT just told he will have to work at a desk for awhile. He has actually been charged with the crime. ALSO the alleged shooter was not a man who was paid to and swore an oath to hold up the law.

Lots of reasons. I'm sorry they aren't obvious. BIGOTS will NEVER see it though.

Was just about to post pretty much the same.

"These people don't want jobs,"

Actually translates to;

"I don't like black people, and I don't think they want to work - so I'm going to generalize an entire demograph of people because I can,"

Which is cool, man! That's your fwedumb to be a racist pig, but who is it that is "out of touch with reality?"

Being racist is not a problem - just don't try to hide it, THAT's a problem.

Its a crying shame that I can't even criticize child-murdering gangbangers without being called a racist pig.

Its also a crying shame that I can't use the phrase "these people" without a bunch of libtards immediately jumping to the conclusion that I'm generalizing black people.

Waah! Waah!

Keep on playing that whiny victim card.

By the war, I'm about as far as a liberal as one can be, so call me a libtard, conservatard, it doesn't hurt my feelings.

It's a crying shame you can't espouse your opinions without others doing the same!

This little kid got killed by a gang and people here are trying to rationalize an act which was completely irrational.

Many are suggesting, as are many of the protesters, that the problem is the lack of local jobs. I grew up in Chicago. I don't buy that answer for a second. To all the people who say a lack of jobs drives people to gangs I ask you this: Have you ever heard of rush hour traffic? Do you know what it is? Rush hour traffic is millions of people who do not have jobs in their neighborhoods. The difference between them and the people in the gangs is that they get up early, drag their tired butts out of bed, and drive for an hour to get where the jobs are. I know unemployment is high. I know jobs are hard to find. But you cant sit in one place and expect the job to just appear in front of you.

It is easy to sit there saying, "Bring me a job! Until then, I have no choice but to deal drugs and steal cars." Bring me a job? No. Get off your lazy a$$ and go find one yourself.

Maybe there are no jobs in their neighborhoods. But I have lived there. I know you cant get in a car and drive half an hour in any direction and not pass places where there are jobs. You just have to understand that no one is going to bring the job to you. You have to go get it. And you actually have to work once they hire you.

It is sad that the media and the rainbow coalition and the blm and the rest would be all over this if the killer had been white. There should be outrage over the death itself, not the color of the shooter. But the pc society we have created has to make sure our outrage is properly placed and aligned with whatever the flavor of the day is. Its just sick.

The black leaders know that the main cause of gangs is poverty. Fix the poverty and you will fix the gang problem. What makes you think they aren't already trying to fix the poverty issue?

Poverty is the cause? I disagree. I am DIRT poor and I don't belong to a gang and don't go around shooting people.

50 -60 years ago gangs were almost nonexistent (compared to today), and I would be willing to bet there were just as many, or more, poor or poverty stricken people than than there are today.

The problem is cultural, people, not economic.

Where is the Outrage! Where are the Riots? - Its just not there. Apparently some 1 million people showed to see some sporting team parade through town recently in the US.

It simply means that not enough people care about the subject matter of your thread, or are prepared to riot, put it that way.

Sorry mate but that's the truth of it.

Again just because you don't see protest ,pray ins and such in your favorite media outlets doesn't mean there isn't any, stop thinking that black folks care not for their children when their lives are taken by another black, I have heard the same ol tripe trotted out time and time again by ATS members who despite their claim to want uncover the facts and deny ignorance stick only to their mass media outlets , News Flash!! if there is a racial angle yes it get air time, when it's not and black folks are doing their meetings marches and prayers...BoriiiG!! nobody cares including vast amount of non Black viewers , one would have to turn to Black media or at least local media to find out what's being said and done.

Maybe it is time to change the slogan to "lives matter. period."

Yeah it's a redundency, but that makes it poetic.

There was a push to change it to "All Lives Matter". This was shouted down because, apparently, it's "racist".

America, you confuse me.

First there was no outrage according to the O.P, now the outrage or protest is frowned upon because of where people shopped??
My bet is you could give a goodgatdamn about a protest as long as your favorite talking point is made...Blacklives don't matter to black folks unless a white guy preferably a cop is involved.

Well for starters, I didn't claim there was no outrage.
And secondly, you missed my point completely.
Why are they protesting in the shopping district instead of in the hood where the shooting took place?

Well you would lose that bet because I do give a goodgatdamn about a protest. I'd just like to see it held somewhere where it may actually make a difference. I'd go protest with them if they were actually confronting the gangbangers on their turf instead of harassing shoppers who had nothing to do with this.

Was your dad in a gang? Or your uncle or older brother? It's a multi-generational issue.

There are Irish gangs and Hispanic gangs and Asian gangs around the world. It's not a black thing.

ETA: how could I forget the Italian gangs, i.e., mafia, mob? All gangs have their origins in poverty.

So much thinly-veiled bigotry and racism on ATS. Look at the thread title? If you can't understand the difference between gang violence and white cops in positions of power killing black people then you're just looking for an excuse to air those feelings that society helps keep a lid on. Something to be said for civilisation eh.

Here we go with the race card.

The thread has little to do with a thinly veiled racism, but rather points out exactly what is going on.

I live in Detroit and have seen my share of this over the years. It's a major deal when a white person is involved, and makes the news instantly, but when it's gang related, or inner-city blacks not much is heard.

Your race baiting is not working, because people are waking up to the fact that "all lives matter".

Sensationalism via the MSM appears to only happen when certain criteria are present, that my friend, is absolute racism, bigotry, and a pure recipe to stir perpetual hatred.

Thank you OP for having the guts to post the truth.

Protest will come very soon especially in Europe considering the economic ideological and spiritual degrade. The only thing they have left is the dogmas of capitalism. As those fall, in the upcoming crisis chaotic protests will begin!

Thank you.

To be honest, I have not read all of the responses to the OP, but felt compelled to comment on this particular response. I admit I was AT FIRST thinking "why isn't BLM going nuts about this" or "I guess black on black crime doesn't matter" but after reading your reply, it brought up a good point and changed my outlook. Thank you for giving me another way of looking at it, and in my opinion, you couldn't be more correct.
