So, yeah....one yesterday.

Another charge with the same description hit my account this morning.

While I was on the phone with my bank's fraud department, ANOTHER came through...today, 11/26/15.

This one read...

Dish Network-one Time 800-894-9131, $1.00

CARD CANCELLED RIGHT THEN BY CARD HOLDER

Oh so friendly Google showed me that this is something that has been going on, to many people, for some time.

I don't believe that there is a conspiracy to charge a million people $1.00 each by Dish. But, I do believe someone has gotten ahold of my information and is trying to get their services with Dish using my wallet.

Well, tomorrow, I'm calling a buddy who used to work for Dish...on the Executive level. I'll be finding out who to talk to at Dish to be able to turn this all over to the Police.

Why? It's only $3 ?

Some f&&&er decided to try and screw me. So....I'm going to see someone do jailtime. For attempted fraud, and identity theft.

I don't know if this is the case, but I have investigated dozens of these allegations and in every case so far, it is a company that charges the cardholder a pittance amount, 1 dollar, for a service that is rendered for free but requires a card number for future purchases or for adult verification... If you order an adult movie for example...

Just been my experience..

If I wasn't a COMCAST customer. I do not use Dish, never have, and never will. So.......

You know, I've paid for everything in my life. And I've voluntarily paid for quite a few others, too.

Cable is a perk, a privilege, earned through work. And I work hard for what I provide for my family and I.

Someone is going to feel my hands on their hips........

If someone feels they can target me and get away with it because it is "anonymous"? Guess what. It goes both ways.

its a small enough charge that will normally not be noticed, perhaps get the card stopped and a new one issued as a safety measure

happens sometimes if you watch adult movies when they need to verify you are an adult.

maybe you should cancel the card?

Certainly not ATS worthy though is it...

lol

WAS IT THE LARGE RED PRINT YOU MISSED ????

And, it is the "rant" forum. Is there anything truly "ATS worthy" ?

Did you even at least cancel your card?? That would have been the first thing I'd have done.

Did you even at least read the original post that I started this thread with? That would have been the first thing I'd have done.

Nothing like being outright rude and condescending to the posters who were kind enough to take the time to post a response in one of your threads...

I guess next time they'll know better not to bother with anything you author.

Ugg,
I understand how people miss something on page four of a long thread but I'm baffled how they miss things in the first post.

Yepp.

And I VERY intentionally put that pivotal statement in BIG BOLD RED font. Yet, it was missed.
