Sorry if i came across as snappy but as i said i grew up there and saw this AC from all sorts of angles
and ranges on an almost daily basis from the day they got their first in 1987 until i moved in 2010
i have even sat in it on the odd public event.

and indeed it can seem to be moving very quickly as it is quite small and quiet so you dont realise how close it really is.

Oh and monitoring their comms was a bit of a help too

Rule out an orb.......they never stay still around airports......only in east Texas at night....

one can discern an airframe in the front as it departed

yep, I'm what you'd call an orb man.......in east Texas they don't bother hiding at say....3 am

Nah it's cool I agree it's likely a helicopter if not definitely, however from the video alone we cannot say for sure what it is. To the OP

Its in built up area of Birmingham, Handsworth, UK. I just never seen one move that fast before from that perspective . I had no time to use manual focus but my camera work is improving

I would of like ruled out all the conventional explanations but yes its a UFO in sense its not identifiable from the video alone.

In my book and probably lot of others a UFO is something defies all explanation does not fit or behave any known thing in the sky.

So im relunctant to call it a UFO which suggest its unexplainable if you get my meaning.

hmm...i guess I got it backwards and see what you mean.

Its a UFO until I can identify without any doubt its a helicopter or IFO.

A manual focus might have helped too with all those tall obstructions in the view to see better through the camera

Yes, I agree. Autofocus has an annoying habit of "losing focus" at times, and that happens more frequently with low light levels. I have not used autofocus with my camcorder for years because of that.

Unless we get a local authority member from Birmingham come onto these boards and show evidence that it was their aerial vehicle in the skies at that time.

Thank you, thank you , my powers of deduction and observation are unmatched world wide.

As far as I can tell it's never really stationary. It could also be possible that it is moving directly towards the camera and then making a 90 degree left hand turn, making it hard to determine the true delta v. Also audio is not really reliable for judging distance.

I never considered the craft is coming towards me..a possibility and worth looking into further.
