Young man 18 years old made this timelapse, starting place is Koli mountain which is located in Lieksa. This timelapse took 3 months to shoot.. its just stunning

My dad's father was born there and his parents emigrated to the USA. I've never had the privilege of visiting, however.
I have been to Norway - but not Finland.

That was transportative! Deliciously devoid of people, though I am sure Finland does have some of those somewhere.

Showing my geek here -- I have a ship in Star Trek Online named Karelia for a reason. It's one stunning region. I've never been there, but it's a bucket list destination, I will see it in person before I kick off

Finland is beautiful. Before EU it had a wonderful constitution minus the military stuff kids have to do which I wouldn't have done or allowed my sons to do, but on the other hand, do understand due to Russia and Sweden's bad tendencies in the past. But they had the best system in the world practically.
