Unusual Us

Me, with my eighties hair,
You with your posh coat and boots,
We make quite an unusual pair,
I'm down to earth, you're up with the suits.

Me, with my ripped blue jeans,
You, with your tailored pants.
I live in the moment, whatever it brings,
You never falter from your life plans.

You, with your Cartier timepiece,
Me, with my beat up flip flops,
You drive a BMW jeep,
My car backfires at every stop.

But somehow we fit, it all works out,
We come together magically,
I think it's because, we know it's about,
Me letting you be you, you letting me be me..
