France goes to war with ISIS: Start of World War 3?

The title is that of the article I'm about to post. Admittedly, I am not educated on the subject well enough to really see how likely what the article suggests would become reality or not, so this is more of a question/interesting point of view, than an all out warning.

Reports are coming in that on Monday France will invoke Article 5 of the NATO Mutual Defense Treaty. NATO’s collective defense clause compels all NATO members – including America – to fight alongside France against ISIS.

In response to Friday’s series of coordinated attacks across Paris, French President Francois Hollande declared on Saturday that France would respond with a “pitiless” war against the group responsible. Speaking from the Bataclan, the site of one of the attacks, he stated, “We are going to lead a war which will be pitiless.”

“The defense clause of NATO’s founding treaty stipulates that if invoked, each of the members will assist the party attacked,” continues IB Times. “NATO’s military resources include more than 3 million troops under arms, 25,000 aircraft and 800 oceangoing warships, according to Foreign Policy. Economically, the alliance is also an intimidating force, representing more than 50 percent of global GDP. … The only time Article 5 has been invoked was after the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks on the New York and Washington, which prompted NATO’s participation in the Afghanistan military mission. Should France become the second country to do so, ambassadors of the 28 nations would need to convene for consultation to determine a plan of action. The last country to request such a consultation was Turkey after attacks by ISIS in 2014.”

I think France is gearing up for something, for sure. I just posted in another thread that they've announced that they plan for the state of emergency to last up to three months. There's a vote in 12 days on the proposed extension.

I think they're going to seriously ramp up their military efforts, and what we're seeing is pieces being put into place for that.

The fall of Damascus. We are reaching a pivotal moment, the symbology of the fall of Damscus goes hand in with the fall of all freedoms as we know it. Bit of a stretch?

Let's say, for the sake of arguments that the idea of a war to end all wars, a war to end all religion a war that brings rise to the true face of a global police state. If in fact that is a true vision of the bankers who enslave us, than is say yes this is it. Between the rise of "ISIS" a highly symbolic and suggestive name known very well to "mystery schools", and the symbolic biblical reference to the fall of Damscus (we all know how rich psychopaths like to play God), I'd say this is the beginning of the Climax.

Perhaps "crusade" is more appropriate.

They don't want to end religion....religion is needed for control purposes and strangely enough...which is the most controlling religion currently in the news and spreading across Europe? hmmm?

The Pope says WWIII has already started and the Paris bombings were part of it.

might be more accurate to say WWIII started when the Iranian 'students' took the US Embassy in the 1970s. That, to me, was the start of this West vs Islam conflict.

Since when was war "pitiful", how much more devastating can the crisis in Syria get. Are we seeing more countries being dragged into this Syrian conflict with every terrorist attack linked to ISIS.

The elitists just needed a major attack such as this France, to declare all out war on ISIS. But nobody dared to support Putin when Russia started their campaign earlier on.

But hey this all seems too complicated, but the end result is plain and clear, more carnage and lives lost sadly.

This will be interesting. When 9/11 happened did the US invoke Article 5? The rest of NATO said, "Gee. That's too bad. Good luck with it." and went on their merry way. Now after Paris the entire G-20 is asking Obama, "What are you going to do about this?"

Kind of reminds me of cop haters calling 911 when they get robbed.

I feel the West vs Islam situation has never gone away....its been going on hundreds of years..the only difference this century are the players and the goal

I think the cooperation of many countries supporting France will do more to prevent WWIII than cowering back from the Paris would do.

Via the Paris Massacre, the downing of the Russian airliner, the dozens and dozens of "lone wolf" attacks, the Christian genocide, and going back in time before 9/11, so many have been harmed by Islamic extremism, that the tipping point if not met now is coming very soon.

No matter how dispirited and quarrelsome the rest of the world can be, no one can justify ISIS. So the common "wipe them out" before they cause my political party/mindset/regime to lose power.

The enemy of my enemy is STILL the enemy when it's ISIS.

World War 3 officially started with the 'War on Terror' since terrorism is global. In my opinion. If the article is accurate then it will just be an extension of the 'War on Terror', which I am calling World War 3.

As far as the US joining France in this effort because of NATO's Mutual Defense Treaty. Well, it would surprise me if we didn't join arms.

How many countries can be involved in a regional conflict, as in Syria, without this escalating into ......? I can't see any diplomatic solution , if France ramps things up. Is there any stopping what seems inevitable ?

World War III was declared upon each and every global citizen when special interest groups discovered that controlling and ultimately benefiting from an individuals expense of time and energy was more valuable than any piece of paper or precious metal. A silent war being waged on our expanding consciousness and self awareness.
