The Spanish judge issues arrest warrants for seven key Israeli officials in Mavi Marmara incident. Benjamin Netanyahu and six other senior officials guilty of crimes against humanity for their role in the 2010 raid on Gaza-bound aid ship,

The Madrid-based Supreme Court has ordered arrest of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, ex-foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman, ex-defense minister Ehud Barak, then-deputy PMs Moshe Ya'alon and Eli Yishai, and then-state minister Benny Begin. Israel's ex-Navy Commander Eliezer Marom is among the co-defendants found guilty by the Spanish judge.

Nine activists were killed, including one Turkish-American, and dozens injured when Israeli commandos boarded the lead ship of a Gaza-bound flotilla, Mavi Marmara, when it attempted to breach the blockade of the Palestinian territory. Spanish activists were also on board the ships.

That was a good statement. Those people, including Netanyahu will be barred from Spain. I think there are places George Bush can't go. But unless the International Criminal Court takes action, not much more will happen.

First of all, Judge Judy can issue arrest warrants and in multiple states. She has, on her show. Some cases have become very serious. She gets a lot of cooperation. That is in the US, though.

This may not cause arrests, but they won't be able to enter Spain and whoever else decides to follow Spain in this. It is a little more important than one would think.

This is very important to include and sustain already two file cases of Israel War crimes ongoing at ICC.

Palestine joined the ICC in April and already handed over two files documenting alleged Israeli crimes to the court. The first file contained facts about the 2014 Israeli Operation Protective Edge in the Gaza Strip which killed more than 2,000 Palestinians. The other one dealt with Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

Fortunately, you are probably right. Spain has no jurisdiction. This is just a political stunt by a European state that has been anti-semitic for hundreds of years.

Lately The European Commission has adopted on 11 November 2015 an interpretative notice on the indication of origin of goods from the territories occupied by Israel since June 1967.

They agree to be on it, yes. They also sign a contract to abide. She is a real judge acting as an arbiter. She signs court orders. She has marshals show up to observe the pick up of property. When she rules in a case it becomes part of legal record. A few cases have been overturned, but it is an arbitration and once you pick arbitration, you normally give up the right to appeal.

My divorce was handled in arbitration and even included custody issues. Never saw the judge once, though the papers got signed by a judge. Only saw the arbiter.

I don't even know why they are allowed to occupy. The Israelis should have left or been removed a long, long time ago. Tomorrow they will bulldoze more Palestinian houses to build another Sodastream factory. No one will bat an eye. It's insane. And, if Palestinians throw rocks at the Sodastream factory, they will be shot.

It's not anti-semitism , to say this, it is anti Israeli government. Which I certainly am in regard to What they do to Palestinians.

Is there a reward? Put a big enough bounty on his head and someone will try to collect.

Arbitration is binding. It can be appealed, but the people who appear sign a contract saying they will abide by the arbitration. As a licensed arbiter, she can and does call marshals to supervise property pickup, follow up on orders, etc.
That is really enough about that in this thread.

You do know she has a law degree and was a normal judge, right? The show isn't fiction. Its not made up and the decisions are binding. The loser doesn't have to pay money. That is in the contract. But they do have to return items that don;t belong to them, and follow other non-monetary decisions unless they appeal and win.

Israel has been allowed to skate for far too long. The US continuously vetoes UN Security Council Resolutions that are critical to Israel source.

The US needs to stop this, too.

There have been over 40 since 1972. Mainly they are condeminng Israel for hostilities against Lebanon or Palestine. One is for killing UN employees of the World Food Program, #3in a row are to 'Halt Gaza Operation", several are for illegal construction, 1 is for occupying the Golan Heights, a bunch are calling for them to respect holy places, several are to respect Lebanese sovereignty. Israel has really pushed the envelope over and over and over again. With impunity.
