These students are from Ayotzinapa, the teacher-training college where 43 students went missing just a year ago! Iguala Mass Kidnapping

I first heard about this in a video by "A & J" on social media, it's not on youtube though. The video was bad - it shows police in full riot gear and tear gas firing into the bus, students bleeding and exclaiming that they're being treated like criminals, etc.

Here's the article: www.telesurtv.net...

Police claim some of the students hijacked a tanker with gasoline in it, that's the justification for the attacks

Around 15 students from the Ayotzinapa teacher-training college were detained and 20 injured in attacks by state police in the southern Mexican state of Guerrero Wednesday night. Mexican authorities told local media outlets on Thursday that police attacked the students with tear gas and batons after the students had allegedly highjacked a tanker truck carrying 30,000 liters of gasoline.

Is this Cartel related? Why are these students/this school being targeted?

It was in Guerrero that 43 students were disappeared in September last year, a situation that has drawn international attention to the problems of state corruption and impunity for human rights abuses in Mexico. Violent crime has also continued to increase in Guerrero since their disappearances.

What difference does it make?

Its Mexico.....its what they do. That's why no one in their right mind goes to Mexico.
