Instead of normal peace loving christians bothering about Atheists, deal with the fundamentalist within your religion as they are causing more harm in the name of Christianity than any atheist can ever do.

I have no religion. That concept is evidently for you to be bothered by. I just let people live and I try to help when and if I can. As far as 2 millennia, that's no time at all for immortal beings, is it? I can only recommend that you consider paying more attention to the things that make you happy and you will be happy, if not happier. I used to be much different, now not. It works for me and I hope everyone will start thinking this way. Love one another, that's all. Being upset and pissed all the time has never worked. LOVE

Can you define "god" for me? Only then can I decide if I believe in it or not.

I guess that's the problem with belief systems...you can believe anything that you want, but it doesn't make it true.

I've often struggled with this dilemma.

As a kid, I was atheist but as I became an adult I started to realize the fault with that thinking.
To me, an atheist is just as "wrong" as a theist. They both require "faith".

One has "faith" that there is a god.
The other has "faith" that there is no god.
Both require faith as neither have proof.

I now realize that I am agnostic. I just do not know. Since I do not know, I do not care.
Am I supposed to make a decision with no "real" facts to go on??

Now, one could argue that since we do not know, why not choose to "believe" in god and religion?

Why would you worship someone or thing that demands to be worshiped?

It takes no faith at all to be an atheist. I do not "believe" there is no god. I lack belief in god. Just as I lack belief in Santa Claus, or the tooth fairy. There is no faith involved in being an atheist or agnostic. An agnostic claims no knowledge, and an atheist claims lack of belief. Lack of belief is not active. It is inactive.

My point is that you are not the first "person of faith" to come here. And you won't be the last.

Many hundreds of believers/people of faith have come and gone on ATS. Some have stayed. They/you don't get special treatment, so don't expect any. Perhaps you might consider getting to know the 'community' a little better before coming in with both barrels blazing.

In any case, you've met some of us right here; and furthermore, many of us know WAY more about religion / belief / faith and holy texts than you "believers".
