I think scientists can also get too latched on to their own ideas or dogma to embrace the new frontiers that science and even spirituality have to offer.

Could you describe and define what spirituality is and what a spirit is to help science embrace these new frontiers you speak of?

Honest question from an ignorant student......

Does science attempt to define or isolate consciousness? Or, is that considered a "soft science" relegated to philosophy and psychology?

I don't know, but i'd guess it has/is being investigated.

Is that your definition for spirituality? Consciousness?

Yeah, I'd say so, if I have to define it. At least it is for me. Just like "god", if I have to define it, it would be everything, i.e. the universe. and the consciousnesses that naturally arises from it.

I mean, if I have to define them.......
for the sake of common ground and place to start, at least.

All I say about this is god is a spirit and a spirit is consciousness. A spiritual person trancended the mindformat of good and evil.

Well, if good and evil are viewpoints from a formatted mind, that this "person" God transcended, who formatted "his" mind that "he" might transcend it?

Either I'm totally not following your train of thought, or you are just pulling slips of paper out of a bowl and typing them in.

I'm amazed, frankly, that you've still got people participating. Well done you....our best and brightest, and you still have some of us engaged!

Here's your medal:

Now - with all due respect and humility, I have a compound question:
(part the first): Prithee, are you able to clarify, in outline form, your position?

(part the second): And if you are capable, will you please do so now?

No, thank you.

Sorry.

For all, try sticking to a thought when making conversation. It makes the world a better place.

Honestly, to me you seem to have no clue. No offense.

I got no clue what you're referring to when you say "god".
