But that attitude promotes segregation, which I've always been told is a bad thing.

I wouldn't be surprised if "safe space" or "healing space" become part of Eminent Domain at this rate.

Also known as students that asked that white students be ushered away... despite the fact that some of the same white students were supporting their cause from day one...?

More importantly... the same students that are now pleading for privacy went out of their way to garnish as much media attention as possible when it served their purpose... yet... suddenly they want "privacy"...?

Its just my opinion but a plea of "Don't do this" doesn't quite do it.

Without going deeply into how this farce has turned into full fledged absurdity worthy of a South Park plot, I just can't understand how anyone could observe the logic of asking for privacy while insisting on camping in a public place and think that any actions associated with that aren't completely insane. Not insane in a metaphorical way...literally 2 bricks short of a load.

Is that what passes for "higher education"? Why does this look like a bunch of dramatic high schoolers were thrust into a real life Lord of the Flies?

These are people who have a xenophobic disconnection, and cannot deal with, the real world.

Okay, here goes, you asked a question, here's an answer. At least in the case of African Americans, without whites, you'd be in Africa, which means you might be a refugee living in Europe at this time, or dead from Ebola, or in al shabab(Muslim fundamental militant group), or maybe one of the very few wealthy in Africa.

Also in the case of African Americans, without American whites, you'd still be in slavery. You see, although white Americans didn't invent slavery, and certainly didn't invade Africa and kidnap blacks(they bought them from other Africans as well as Arabs) white Americans did abolish slavery, apologize profusely for it and provide an absolutely amazing country to live in.

There you have it. Instead of being in Africa or being a slave, you're protesting at a university in the first world. Any further questions?

So, now we have a set of seperated allies. That's another camp added to the race war. Guess they weren't really allies, they must have been using that word for some kind of effect.

Gee, one more degree of division. Who'd have thought.

Your assumption that life would be worse without the white man is idiotic at best..

The same goes for Native Americans, the destruction and colonization was not for the best and made our lives worse many times over. Life was great before the so-called intervention and sure it had it's bad but generally was great.

Look everywhere. The European influence on almost every indigenous people was and is a disaster. Now I do not hate white people but cannot stand the ignorant view point that our lives are so much with the European influence. I would say 70 to 80% percent of their ancestors are great people but they still need to weed out the idiots like other cultures do including minorities.

We all have to exist with one another we better learn to get along before it is too late. I agree that fighting racism with racism is idiotic but it may be the European influence kicking in.

You can be offended by whatever you wish. You can deal with racism however you wish. You have those rights. You don't have the right to segregate public places. It's an integral part of racism and flies in the face of what this protest is allegedly about.

Maybe we should starting calling it 'right priveledge' when people feel entitled to special rights, like segregating public places, because of their race.

Matt and Trey of South Park fame are probably checking their marketing deals, investment portfolios and real estate terms right about now...

With PC reality exceeding South Park scripting, they no doubt "know" their gig is up.

These black students don't have the legal authority to 'segregate' and they aren't asking for that authority. They are simply asking the white people that want to help to respect a space they are trying to use to address a racial issue they feel they are faced with. White people who want to help ought to have no problem understanding this. White people who want to only criticize shouldn't be offended they asked for space, you weren't ever going to stand with them in the first place.
