Really how about the 'moderates' in the party rejecting the grass-roots and thereby causing the 'in-fighting'??

That really isn't happening as much as the extremists rejecting the moderates. After all, its the extremists that have the cute nickname for the moderates (RINO) and not the other way around.

This is exactly what the article described. The mentality that people among their own ranks have sold-out. It's not longer good enough to blame the Left for their failures, so they must begin to look within.

Did you happen to read the entire article?

Well you just have to look at the top republican candidates.

Trump: Ego mad loon

Carson: Inconsistent Religious Loon

Ted Cruz: Super religious Loon

Lindsey Graham: War hungry loon

Mike Huckabee: Zionist War hungry religious Loon

Jeb Bush:........Erm hes a Bush....... anyone say god save the king?

Only viable candidate who seems to be balanced and sensible is Rand Paul but no one seem to be giving him any attention...

Do you believe that there is no room for compromise on certain issues? Do you believe any Republican that does is a sell-out and must be ousted because they are traitors to the Party?

You mean like how the Democrats compromised on Obamacare? Passing in the dark of Christmas eve and using legislative maneuvers despite clear opposition? Oh the Republican leadership has compromised alright. They run on one thing and do something completely different when in office. That is the problem and the root of the grassroots anger.

The Democrats DID compromise on Obamacare. That's why it looks like a train wreck now.

There is a reason the states have largely swung Republican as noted above in terms of Governorships and local politics. Middle America is sick of what is going on. They can see the impact of progressive policies more clearly at the state level.

I'd say it has more to do with many voters being poorly informed about the political process; instead opting to let the media tell them how it works instead. After all, since when were anti-American ideals like shutting the government down and not compromising at ALL costs with your political rivals such mainstream ideas?

Compromise depends on the policy and who is doing the compromising and for what reason.

Compromise for the Republicans these days is "My way or the highway! Anyone who disagrees is a Democract, Republicans included."

Which certain issues?

Any issue really. The point is not to debate individual issues, but the willingness of the Republicans to compromise.

If a Republican compromises with Democrats on, let's say, a healthcare plan....are they sell-outs?

The Republican Party will change or go extinct.

This is applicable to everyone, not just the Republican Party.

Do we really even discuss articles posted by Left-Wing Infowars?

What a piece of trash this article. In other words leftist think republicans are too far right for their taste and blame them for not accomplishing the goals of the democratic party. People wonder why the Repubs are glad to see Boehner go well its because compromise means republicans have to lose every time and people are sick of it.

Yep, an objective post. Call us extremists and expect us to buy into your spin?

We have a viewpoint. We don't consider it extreme in the slightest. We are fully aware the gambit of labelling 'extreme' any view that doesn't match the 'new' thinking. (Sorry about the 'we', I can't claim I represent anyone except myself)

Yet, the election results and the trend is what motivates this thread.....FEAR....

The fact that you look at compromise as "losing" just shows what is wrong with conservative politics these days...

Didn't read any of it. Not interested.

You can call it 'blame' all you want.

I see it as doing something about the current mess. By the way, the 'extreme' right BLAMES BOTH PARTIES FOR THIS MESS.

An obvious truth...but that's 'extreme'....

Hey, you don't have to believe it. People so far up their own ideology have problems recognizing the flaws in their thinking. I had a feeling upon seeing the content of the article that the OP would get a lot of flak from the right wing members, most of which didn't even get a quarter of the way through the article (if they even clicked on it in the first place). ETA: You've just admitted to not reading any of the article, so you proved my very point I'm trying to make here.

But the ideas that compromise is bad or shutting the government down to get your way is necessary are VERY extremist in nature. I'm sorry, there is no way to argue around that. For people arguing that we should stick to the Constitution, BOTH of those ideas are very unconstitutional.

Perhaps.

Yet, the problem is the perception that we have already 'changed' too much. Compromised too much.

This bunch, which I call myself a member of, won't be backing down any more.

Clean house or we're leaving....

Simple.

Not really the only things that get accomplished through these "compromises" is furthering the globalist agenda. Now people want to blame the right because they are dragging their feet to avoid this. The centrist world you desire is not a reality. The schisms in politics are reflective of the populace. National Socialism was really a centrist ideaology although it is associated with the right now because of the nationalist aspects.

What compromises do you propose? How do you propose to bridge ideological differences? It is nice to say "yall we really need to get along" while offering no solutions that don't align with your own beliefs/ideology.

Calling Salon out for a 'Racist' headline and story.

Are ALL Republicans "White"?
No. They are not.

Is it only "White" Republicans who "keep winning elections"?
No. It is not.

Is it only "White" Republicans who win these elections "and keep getting angrier"?
No. It is not!

Yet, Salon specifically mentions '"White" Republicans in it's headline and story body...in what appears to be yet another partisan political liberal diatribe against Republicans in general.

This is just another blatant example of Elitist Liberal racism on display...and anyone who propogates this Liberal racist propoganda is part of the problem, unless they do so to denounce it.

Compromise works by the opposing opposition offering a counterargument for the things they are upset with, then we negotiate a middle ground. In the world of negotiations and business deals, one side of the negotiating doesn't just offer a deal then immediately slash their deal to open the negotiation talks.

So if you were really for compromise, you'd put forth YOUR compromise, not demand that we start compromising our terms first. That isn't how things work anywhere else, so why should they work that way in politics? Because you are too lazy to think up a compromise yourself? Or maybe because this demand was a strawman disguised to make it APPEAR like you are for compromise?

The reason there is anger in the Republican party is because the libertarian / tea party side is upset with the RINOs who have basically turned in to Democrat lites. If wanting our representatives to adhere to the constitution, reducing government bureaucracy, spending, and involvement in our lives is extremist, then I guess I am an extremist.

reducing government bureaucracy?....the tea party is ignorant....there have been 84,500 federal job cuts since 2011, this does not include the military, nor the post office...
www.federaltimes.com...
I have a life long friend that has worked for the IRS as an auditor, she had to move to another town because of the IRS's downsizing which has led to consolidating field offices. her sectional auditing staff has been reduced from 8 people to 4 people in the last few years. she says there are cases of tax fraud that she cannot get to, due to a lack of auditors and resources that have been cut by congress......

Yea let us all keep spreading division and pretend as if we are not spreading division.

I suppose the divide between repubs and dems is not great enough we should further separate by race.

Perhaps no one wants to take responsibility but we continue to view issues based on racial divisions then we will be further divided.

Piss weak, bigoted, racist and mentally insecure comes in all shapes and sizes so it's a fail to try and compartmentalize sections of society into neat little labels that practice those traits more so than others because it's simply inaccurate.

Pick a section of society you endorse or do not endorse, and I will prove to you that that demographic has piss weak, bigoted, racist and mentally insecure adherents.

True story.

So let's do a quick recap of what we have seen so far.

Even though many did not read the article, they disagree with it's premise, but at the same time prove it to be true.

Must be a Globalist/Leftist plot.
