The GOP may be, in pursuit of the almighty international profit and cheap labor.

But conservatives are not. They believe that the constitution and laws should be enforced. And capitalism should be 100% competitive, best man-idea-product should win, without GOP or Dem machines picking the winners ( and getting their $ and votes back in trade).

America and it's capitalism, values-based (Judeo-Christian) society, constitution as written, are the greatest country in history. Built the greatest level of comfort, safety-security, health, opportunity ever on this earth. Even had a tool built in to get rid of slavery, which many other countries still struggle with.

Avoided being a theocracy, oligarchy, royalty, dictatorship....better than any country ever.

I won't take socialism or communism "any day", over "anything".

Both have killed millions as a convenient tool of despotism and dictatorships, and both invariably end up in bankruptcy wherever they are attempted. You can't confiscate enough capital from the minority with ambition, to give everybody else everything AND fund a lavish royalty at the top, which is always worse than CEO's, kings, or queens.

Marx and his predecessors only wrote illogical, childish myths to excuse sloth, envy, living like a filthy bum. In Marx's case, his very own slothful bum life. The guy worked every angle to avoid actually working.

The only people who actually believe Marx's little bible are his fellow lazy bums who need excuses, and people with child-like minds who cannot apply reason (or obvious repetitive history) to anything.

I like how every murderous dictator who ever misused Marx's nonsense to gain power, rewrote and renamed it to honor themselves. Mao, Kim, Ho, Castro, Stalin, Trotzky, Lenin, Mugabe, Pol Pot, all had to glorify themselves with their own "new version". That's a clue that should help somebody / anybody realize that communism/ socialism isn't a great way to build "Utopia" lol. Hitler did a fine job of sucking in the socialist bums and envious / jealous, only to kill them as soon as they helped him gain power.

Actual Utopia on earth won't get closer than the American Republic and Constitution with individuals having more power than the govt, and at least a modicum of character and values. Without crony capitalism, or all-seeing all-knowing Dear Leader.

You don't want to try the experiment in Africa, Asia, Middle East, Central America, South America, Mexico, most of europe. America, maybe Canada, is the only place you can flap your yap at cops and other officials, and have a good shot at a happy ending.

Actually since states were supposed to have the independence of small countries, just a loose confederation for interstate concerns, states were anticipated to quite possibly have their own official religions. Unless their state constitutions prohibited it. Federal constitution and laws in no way are supposed to stop a state from doing so. You have 50 to choose from. Some will be Christian, some will be Jewish, at this point Michigan will be Muslim pretty soon. You can go live in whatever atheist, LGBT, anarchist, nihilist haven that floats your boat. Competition and freedom will give you some to choose from.

But we know the problem with that. Liberals "shouldn't ever have to move or change". Everything, including millions of people, should change to make the one person happy. The 2% LGBT's ? The .05 % Trans ? Change 330 million peoples' lives "just for me". That's why these things are a mental illness. It's madness to tell 330 million people to stop everything for one complainer, or 50. But we've let it be normal for about 40 years now, hopefully not much longer.
