Until now a functional penis was not allowed to be locked up with the women.

From the Statement of the American Psychological Association

The medical and scientific opinions of over 200,000 doctors and medical professionals and 80,000 or so psychologists beg to differ with the "known fact" that people are either "innies or outies."

No you have your facts wrong, again.
The original decision to send to a male prison was made in a lowly Magistrates court , by a magistrate, not a judge. This also indicates the offence was minor because it didn't go to Crown court.

The prisoner appealed the conviction to the higher Crown court and the judge confirmed the conviction, but ordered female prison to reflect her gender.
The lowly magistrate was tied by guidelines but the higher court judge was not.
Public outcry was irrelevant.

My point is that you do not want to acknowledge that this person is still a male with male tendencies/ You want this person to represent a female that used to be male but this is not the case but if it were then your arguments would hold water.

Well, she has been on female hormones for 6 years and looks more female than some females I know so nope, you are just making that BS up.

Regardless, the judge disagrees with you so I guess you should quit yer bitchin' and suck it up.
It doesn't affect your legal system in any way though, it's a UK case, you can still continue throwing your trans folk to the wolves in male prisons.

Ever hear of male guards and corrections officers? Stop the silliness.

It is your opinion that there are only two genders based on only two sexes, and that it is perfectly reasonable for we as society to treat folks that way. Medical science, psychology and every known scientific and medical fact disagree with your simplistic understanding.

As I said before, it is a real conundrum. The sex is male, the gender female. The courts have to decide whether to use sex as the deciding factor or gender as the deciding factor. In this case, gender won out.

(I'm still worried for his penis though. Hope they get that taken care of sooner rather than later.)

We are talking about prisoners not guards.

They have always separated the male prisoners with a penis from the female prisoners that do not have a penis.

Men are stronger than women.

It is perfectly fine if you want to question the norm but don't pretend that it does not boil down to innies and outies.

This is the first functioning penis locked up with the females.

It is very clear tome that this guy will keep his junk and has no plans to remove it.

He may run into a bunch of people though that try to change his mind.

He has a clear history of enjoying his masculinity.

Why should the legal system take only sex OR gender identity into account? Why should it be an either/or when we know medically and scientifically that the human person is more complex than that?

If a woman is living as a woman and has been living as a woman for that time under her control to do so, she's a woman.

If a man how has lived as a man suddenly puts on a dress and make-up for his hearing and asks to be assigned to the female-only prison for prurient purposes ... he's a man, and should be treated that way.

If you were at all worried about female prisoners being abused, you'd be crusading to make sure that no males were placed in positions of such power over females as is the case with male corrections officers.

Since you are blatantly quiet on that issue, the truth of the matter is clear.

I would think that the man with a vagina would be the one at risk in an all-male facility rather than the other inmates.

A judge has decided that the gender appropriate prison in this case was a female prison.
I guess you just gotta suck it up as 'it's the law' as so many said before the judge overruled the original magistrate lol.

I thought she had been moved, but that was yesterday, so maybe some thing has changed, in my opinion she wasn't being very lady like when she headbutted a waiter which is what she got locked up for.
