Good afternoon people of ATS, you might remember the thread that constituted the heart of the 2012 mystical phenomenon. I was one of the leading posters, coming in support of Evasius to go on after he " retired " from posting and I live in Italy, a country which has chosen to reconsider the importance and valuability of timewave zero Novelty Theory and to continue researching for alternative zero dates. Also, Mckenna's cooperator Peter Meyer has written an article and a new graph in which he indicates a new zero date/ eschaton date on July 8 2018.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

www.fractal-timewave.com...

Quoting from the link:

A plausible choice for a revised zero date could be based on the assumptions:
1. The peak at the start of a major descent of the timewave corresponds to an event of great novely (whose effects play out in the period following).
2..The zero date is likely a date in the early 21st C.
3.The attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on 2001-09-11 is the event of greatest novelty in living memory.
#1 is a standard axiom of Timewave Zero theory. #2 might even be strengthened to assert that 9/11 was the event of greatest novelty in all of human history. It left everyone gobsmacked and its consequences affected everyone on the planet due to the subsequent policies and actions of the G.W.Bush administration.

The three points on the timewave which are the initial points of the three deepest descents of the timewave occur 1,536 days prior to the zero date, 3,136 days prior and 6,144 days prior. When we add these numbers of days to September 11, 2001, we obtain: 2005-11-25, 2010-04-13 and 2018-07-08 respectively. Since our revised zero date must be in the future, that leaves just one candidate: July 8 2018 Thus this zero date is now built in to the online timewave calculator.

Novelty points on the new timewave from 2008 to now:

Basically, if you use Timewave Zero with December 21, 2012 as the zero date TimeWave Zero won't work for any dates past that. So they gave the zero date of the TimeWave an extension until July 8, 2018 based on calibrating it with the September 11, 2001 date. This could mean the world ends on July 8, 2018!

No, this just means that the theory is still valid and has been reconsidered, and the Eschaton was often indicated by Mckenna as the day time travel was first actually activated and that would have changed the course of time and history. Eschaton here means a change of direction and structure in time that can be predicted in advance.

History has its own dna and we can explore its essence through historical resonances and novelty peaks and descents.

September 11 2001, within this new graph is shown to be at the beginning of a huge novelty descent, and since it is probably the most novel event in living memory has been chosen as a key date for the theory.

It is not garbage , it is a theory that had a lot of bumps on the road and happened to be unfortunately linked to a 2012 hoax which has no real correlation with the structure of timewave. It was all part of the beliefs of Mckenna. This new reconsidered graph has no attachment to the 2012 phenomenon and is based on a more practical basis.

P. S. here is the graph for the Whole of 2015:

www.fractal-timewave.com...

My hope is that this theory is not just seen as a past memory of an hoax but as a valuable theory.

The thread of Evasius started with the linking of events of June 2009 with French Revolution. If you use this graph you can see that the Charlie Hebdo terror attack is directly resonancing with 1794 Terror Period of French Revolution.

Since when is "timewave zero" a theory? it's an hypothesis at best, based on contrived and flawed mathematics, and hallucinogenic mushroom-induced visions. It's debatable whether it can even be considered a hypothesis, as it can not be used to make falisfiable predictions, since it has this escape clause of "time travel would have changed the course of time and history."

History has its own dna and we can explore its essence through historical resonances and novelty peaks and descents.

History does not have "dna", it does not have an "essence". it is a unit of measure, nothing more. "Novelty Theory" is pseudoscience. It relies on the use of numerology to derive dates of important events in world history, the arbitrary rather than calculated end date of the time wave and the apparent adjustment of the eschaton over and over again to fit past and current events is not scientific at all.

Other dates do not fit the actual time frames, for instance the date claimed for the emergence of Homo sapiens is inaccurate by 70,000 years, and the existence of the ancient Sumer and Egyptian civilisations contradict the date he gave for the beginning of "historical time". Some projected dates have pretty arbitrary labels, such as the "height of the age of mammals" and McKenna's analysis of historical events has a heavy eurocentric and cultural bias.

September 11 2001, within this new graph is shown to be at the beginning of a huge novelty descent, and since it is probably the most novel event in living memory has been chosen as a key date for the theory.

"..and since it is probably the most novel event in living memory has been chosen as a key date for the theory". That is not scientific at all. Arbitrarily choosing a date to make the model kinda work is not scientific. You are supposed to modify the theory to fit the results, not cherrypick results that might support the theory. Besides, I'm pretty sure the events of World War II were a bit more "novel" than 9/11..

The mathematics used to create the "timewave" are deeply flawed. If mathematics is accurately applied, a more trivial and uninteresting waveform is created, which is not fractal but a complex piecewise linear progression. British mathematician Mathew Watkins's mathematical analysis of the "theory" way back in 1994 clearly showed this.

It is not a "theory" by scientific definition. It barely scrapes through as a hypothesis. It is not backed up by solid mathematics and even if you ignore that, its dates are either totally wrong, or chosen arbitrarily to fit the proposed "model". Novelty is not even quantifiable, let alone predictable.

Funny you say it was "unfortunately linked to a 2012 hoax which has no correlation with the structure of the timewave", when Terrance himself was the one who adopted the mayan calendar end date for the timewave..

I will concede that McKeena is an entertaining chap, and his ideas about mind-expanding natural substances playing a role in our evolution is somewhat interesting. However, "Timewave Zero" or "Novelty Theory" is in fact, 100%, unequivocally, complete and utter pseudo-scientific bollocks.

My hope is that this theory is not just seen as a past memory of an hoax but as a valuable theory.

My hope is that people educate themselves on what a theory actually is, how it is defined scientifically, and how it can be tested objectively, so they don't fall for pseudoscience masquerading as a legitimate, "valuable theory", and waste everybody's time with such nonsense.

"Speculating that when the laws of physics are obviated, the universe disappears, and what is left is the tightly bound plenum, the monad, able to express itself for itself, rather than only able to cast a shadow into physics as its reflection.. It will be the entry of our species into 'hyperspace', but it will appear to be the end of physical laws, accompanied by the release of the mind into the imagination." -Terrance McKenna

He certainly has released his mind into the imagination, I'll give him that. Mushrooms will do that, I guess.
