His instructions were to write the fractions in their simplest form, and if there were two identical results, to only write one in it's simplest form. He will share his results with a classmate who will decipher the results. He aslo had to answer a bunch of statistial questions based on the results.

The results (***AS PER HIS CALCULATIONS**) based on 2 off-ATS answers plus 28 of the first viable responses found in this thread:

Yellow - 1/30 (3.33%)
Gold - 2/60 (3.33%)
Orange - 3/90 (3.33%)
Other - 2/30 (6.67%)
Grey - 4/60 (6.67%)
Red - 1/15 (6.67%)
Purple - 1/10 (10%)
Green - 1/6 16.67%)
Black - 1/5 (20%)
Blue - 7/30 (23.33%)

Here's a pic of the tally portion of his statistics project:

Pay no mind to his handwriting
- it has caused MANY arguments between us. You would think he'd lose enough points off for sloppiness that he would eventually get better out of pure self-preservation. His Dad and I (conferring privately) don't think he'll get an 'A'. TWEENS! GAH!
But then that's probably a thread unto itself...

It is interesting, psychologically, that blue is most favoured. I recall reading a study where more artwork was sold if the subject matter contained blue water. Blue is serene and mentally calming.

My colour preferences change, now I am favouring fuscia and emerald green.

Midnight Forest Green

Always has, and always will be.

Funny enough, I'm allergic to grass, trees, and wild flowers, so going to the woods takes a lot of preparation for me, kind of like my Kryptonite, nevertheless I do go, because I love nature especially when it's at night, peaceful, and quiet. And I always take my telescope with me too for some star gazing.

I think it is interesting the folks who love green or feel drawn to it. I should add that it is my favorite color as well. Different shades of course but green none the less.

I'm sure there is a psychological study (out there somewhere) that relates color choice to personality traits...

Going off to the interwebs to investigate!

Have a great day friend!

The Color Green
The color green is the color of balance,
harmony and growth

This is the color of balance and harmony. From a color psychology perspective, it is the great balancer of the heart and the emotions, creating equilibrium between the head and the heart.

Thank you dear friend, you too have a great day.

Green is associated with nature, and freshness.
It is also a calming, cool color, hence why so many hospitals have it.

Ahh, well that makes sense!
Three things I constantly strive for...

Blance. Harmony. Growth.

Calming and cool, yes...
Nature...love...

Now, if hospitals could just filter in the smell of 'green' instead of antiseptic!
