Can someone explain to me why Jesus Christ is the son of God and not just a man

I never really went to church growing up, never read the Bible besides Revelation. I was up all night and three of my neighbors were gangstalking me I know that's mostly bull s *** but it's true. At 4:00 one of my neighbors said He assaulted Jesus. Then told the girl neighbor across the street , you could just kill him. That got me to thinking I never understood people's blind faith since birth. People here quote scripture and go back and forth in discussion and I am lost. I base my spirituality on Catholocism but has a lot of my own personal philosophy s in there too.

I got to thinking about the star that led them to baby Jesus, heard when he was 12 he went somewhere and had great knowledge of religion. And if all his life told he is special or divine? Then started his church teachings later. I am a pessimist rather than an optimist and it's like if everybody else cheats why shouldn't I . What if he was a man?

I have to admit I am really rather clueless as to what you are looking for.

Why has Christianity conquered the whole world , televangelists on TV and presidents. I don't get it. I guess I was always suspicious of hearing extraordinary things. But got kicked out of Sunday school in fourth grade and don't remember much. How do they all know he is who he says he is? The miracles.

I heard of the virgin birth but people were big alcoholics back then. I don't know.

I am the Beast who acquires an empire then black 7 in popular music cause I looked like a school shooter. I believe what I have long suspected today, that I am Omega. F you, F you for spitting on me , F you for locking me up, F you for stealing my money. This is great. What if Jesus story was embellished for the greater good. I got practically castrated and made fun of persecuted all of life for what? I know the secrets of the world that is pulled over everyone's eyes.

Yes, written by men as a tool to control the uneducated masses. It is hard for me to understand people believe this story from back in the bronze age or what ever. Lol

It's only conquered the USA.

Out here in the rest of the world we are quite secular and Christianity is no more or less important in everyday life than Hinduism or any other religion.

Sounds like you are searching......good. Seek and you shall find...... so don't give up. Maybe it takes a month, a year maybe a decade but if you stay true and search he will come or send someone one and then you will be like millions of others who have seen. It is a test.... a test of faith and love for God and he wants to know how you feel about him. If you expect instant results.....well that will not work. If you don't love him well then why would you expect for him to pop up and say hello?

To me.... you sound like you are at a crossroads...... and we all have been there.....don't be so fast to choose which way to go. Don't slow down at this intersection BUT STOP! Someone honking their horn and trying to force you across the intersection? Then wave them to go around but you..... STOP.

How did I find him? Well that does not matter because you will find him a different way. It is different for all of us.

God wants a personal relationship with you..... BUT you have to make the first move if you what that too. Start with prayer.... a very POWERFUL form of communication. God is spirit and you must pray to this spirit. It will be hard at first.... start off with the Lord's prayer (goggle it) repeat it three, four, five, maybe even ten times a day.....that is a great start.

Did you know the Sabbath starts tonight and not Sunday? Tonight when the sun sets until Saturday night.......it is the Sabbath. What a great time to start your prayers.

USA leads with most followers, followed by Mexico and Brazil. However, there are countries with a higher percentage of its population.

Well I believe he was human. Not that I think that devalues him.

I made a poll once in a large Christian group asking what they thought Jesus was. There was a substantial amount of people that believed he was the literal son of god, and there was also a substantial amount of people that believed he was god incarnate himself.

So it's likely you'll get mixed responses even from the Christians concerning this.

He was just a man, according to the musical, "Jesus Christ, Super Star". Sounds hokey, yeah, but google the lyrics of the main song from that production and you will find it asks precisely what you have here.

Okay, ATS may not be the musical crowd, BUT, this production acts out man's quest to understand Jesus, the man vs Jesus Christ.

The beginning years of HIS life is vague, likely purposefully for the impactful years. I have no doubt that He lived, and died...but admittedly, I have those "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" moments occassionally.

The list only includes people with earned doctorates in "hard" sciences, like biology, chemistry, physics, math, but not psychology, sociology, law, etc. I have also included doctorates in the philosophy or history of science. For those unfamiliar with the nomenclature, a DPhil (or ScD) degree is usually considered equivalent to a PhD. For example, the University of Oxford awards DPhil degrees.

This is a very incomplete list of just a few top-notch scientists who are also Christians www.whyfaith.com...

Because a book, and more than 2 billion people who believe that book, say he is the son of god. In reality, Jesus is a meme. A meme that has been perpetuated for millennia by some well meaning, and some not so well meaning people and institutions.
