I went back and looked at the table leg, I don't think that's a
shadow but rather a reflection off the floor of the table leg.
The table leg does not appear to cast a shadow because the source
of light causing the shadow on the "goblin" seems to be coming from
outside through an entryway.

Look at the shadow of the leg of furniture and the goblins shadow.

Yea, the other light source would be the sun as it's the door to the garden
as explained. The direct sun doesn't enter the kitchen.

No matter the light source or sources, the shadows would be the same as they are proximate.
