Roseburg Oregon- Obama-Media and Respect

I wonder if Obama will sing Amazing Grace.

So is it OK for the NRA and it's followers to politicize it by telling people they need more guns?

Every time something like this happens, they are out in force in the media and on here telling people they need more guns, using the tragedy as push for more guns.

Not too mention they use this tragedy as another opportunity to bash Obama.

If I, as a progressive socialist am lumbered with the liberal, commie, anti gun, gun grabbers then you can take one for the apathy team.

"Maybe"...I see you are ASSuming again. I have never seen nor read of any of the regular citzenry (not those in politics that either risk their jobs or benefit on some way fro a POTUS visit) saying anything but they do not wish him to visit.
To use your mindset, maybe some of the victims would like to forget this incident. Not everyone prefers to remember tragic events, every day, or make it a rallying cry. I know a lot of family members of my own that only wanted to put a tragedy behind them, move on with life, and only remember the good things of the person and not the tragic and senseless death (think killed by a multiple offense drunk driver). They didn't want to use the death of their close family member as a rallying cry against drinking, restricting drinking, or possibly banning certain drinks because of their perception of being "more bad" than others of their ilk. They sure as heck wouldn't want it to be politicized that is for sure.

So, neither of us are them, and neither of us have any RIGHT to speak for them. I will let them, the victim's families make that decision. And I think the POTUS would be expressing true leadership if he also respected their wishes.

How the right can lie so much shows me their moral code. They didn't care about the people who died..it was all about making the admin look bad. Hell you even got someone admitting it.

Didn't say that...said did they or did they not use that tragedy for political gain and it was never about the dead..more for themselves.

See , this is the reason I make my famous statement to posters. I do not play the game when all I get are inane , incohesive , rhetoric that assumes a poster knows me and my demographics . You friend are all done...
And may I add , you are drifting off-topic. This is about the tragedy and politicization of said tragedy. If you want to post about Benghazi , start a thread. But please make it coherent and to the point.

Just an FYI to you.....

This rocked the whole NW as a community, the whole country. Sorry and regards to that. Sure not everyone isn't aligning with Obama not being there, as any place. The officials as shared, want him to visit. The thread was presented well but turned into defensive grounds. What would one expect? But to call everyone out on some agenda really does no favors and is in fact bloviating in itself(fancy word everyone is using now?).

What about respect for the wishes of the victims families? They clearly reject the POTUS from visiting their town to capitalize on the death of their family member. It seems to me their feelings on the matter, should trump your personal agenda.
