Syrian army has entered into the Strategic City of Salma, NOrth East of Latakia. Fall of Salma will end enemy presence in Latakia and will also pave the way for liberating Jisr Al Shughur that can secure western provinces .

If the USA and UK had any sense we would be fighting inward from Iraq to join up with Assads forces fighting inward.

War would be over then in a matter of months.


Dont get me wrong Im normally against getting involved in internal polical disputes and civil wars of other country. But this has spread beyond Syria and groups like ISIS are at war with the west and have attacked us.

It’s amazing that even if Assad resigned those entire jihadi nut groups wouldn’t in 1000 years be able to agree on a government and make peace for the Syrian people.

(CNN)—U.S. military cargo planes gave 50 tons of ammunition to rebel groups overnight in northern Syria, using an air drop of 112 pallets as the first step in the Obama Administration's urgent effort to find new ways to support those groups.

Details of the air mission over Syria were confirmed by a U.S. official not authorized to speak publicly because the details have not yet been formally announced.

If we just dropped 50 tons of weapons for the rebels to use against Russia, you can bet that Vladimir Putin will respond should those weapons be used against Russia. He's got too much invested in this conflict to simply back down.

This reminds me of a statement that John McCain made along these lines. I think he wants us to get into WWII, along with a few nukes:
