Some days this world is so...

Stunningly beautiful that it almost makes having a bad day impossible.

Almost...

Beautiful cool early fall day. West USA, rocky mountain region. This stretch of road has no services of any kind for 110 miles. 7,000 ft elevation.



Really out in the middle of nowhere, and yet if you look close in the far right of the picture you can see that even out here, we find a way to muck it up. Three large smokestacks, one large cooling tower, and a nice yellow coloring of the skies above.

It really is, I drive that route often, and for some reason until today I never noticed that plant.

Oh well, I'm driving a vehicle that pollutes, in a world with billions doing the same, and with millions more smokestacks out there, even out in the middle of nowhere.

No harm, according to so many experts. So, why should anyone care?
