I believe OP was recommending this feature strictly for the purpose of being able to network with the users who share similar viewpoints but represent as such through the starring, but do not typically write a written response. An interesting concept.

Unfortunately due to human nature, this always leads to abusive behavior and/or gang like activity as people will bum rush en masse an opposing viewpoint against their friends.

It could make for an interesting 1 month social experiment though. It does not have to be permanent. The CI... umm I mean ATS could learn alot from these social patterns when such a feature is introduced. Not that they dont already know from the same features on everyones LifeInvader online accounts.

I get what you're saying. For myself, I like the anonymity of starring/flagging. I don't think that relates to staff ability to applaud. I just like starring and flagging when I think it is warranted, without anyone knowing I've done so. Weird, huh?
