It seems like you have good taste!

Flattery will get you everywhere. I also happen to have a good friend who is a Literature Professor in NYC so she and I trade recommendations back and forth.

Try these on if you have not already:

The Decent by Jeff Long.

Underworld by Don DeLillo.

Perfume by Patrick Suskind.

Kinky Friedman's books.

Anything by Richard Matheson.

Wow i'm kinda in shock right now. I obviously haven't read all of Friedman's stuff but I'm texan so yeah I've read some lol. I love Don Delillo. I especially loved "white noise" and "Omega". I haven't read The decent though. I'll put it on the list. You're lucky to have a lit prof from NYC as a friend. I'm so jealous i kinda don't want to believe you lol.

Great list sir. I look forward to Jeff Long, Thanks!

I guess in reply I should offer some suggestions lol.
The tiger's wife by Tea Obrecht was really great and I love Jennifer Egan's books as well. Reif Larsen is a newer author but the adventures of T.S. Spivet and Radar were both really enjoyable. Those were the last few authors that really stuck out to me.

I should have thought of that. I forgot he ran for governor.

Awesome. He is a brilliant writer.

Fantastic boo, the follow up was not as good though.

She used to work part-time at the cosmetics store next to one of my restaurants so we would sit around between lunch and dinner and trade recommendations. I even helped her write some of her college papers.
