so my wife's, and in turn my best friend came over to watch a show with the wife....

I gave the preggerz the last Pepsi... my last pepsi... I paid for it... I bought it.... it was mine and I was excited to be able to give that to her....

she didn't really say thank you... it was kind of a " you thought this was yours" type response....

I'm a little disgusted, there seems to be two kind of preggerz in this world....

The thank you for helping me, and "you thought it was yours." type personalities...

I certainly hope the child they carry isn't that way.... I have seen many pregnancies... many potential adults.... some never make it (they just become bigger children...)

Le sigh...

Did she always act like that or is it just since she's pregnant?

Is she financially able to care for the child or is she already filing for assistance?

Why would you give that poison to a pregnant woman in the first place and then cry because she wasn't grateful enough?

Poison?

Seriously?

It's mostly sugar and water and known to most of the world's population as a nice refreshing beverage.

A thoughtful gift to anyone, especially when it's your only one, a thank you is appropriate.

Speaking of beverages, maybe you should switch to decaf.

It's a can of Pepsi, it's not good for anyone. I wouldn't have even accepted it.

You gave pepsi to a pregnant woman? Ummm pregnant women are told to avoid caffeine and soda.

Even if she wasn't pregnant, you are making a big deal out of nothing. People offer people sodas all the time. I don't think most people think to much of it. Some may nod in acknowledgement or even say thank you, but many people take it with a grain of salt, that when you are over at someones house, it is customary for them to offer you something to drink.

Not saying it is right or wrong, it just is.

Oh, sorry this thread is about pregnant women, the Pepsi thread is down the hall.

Pepsi is a Kosher product

You obviously aren't pregnant. Nor logical.

Good or bad for us our body craves things for a reason... a woman who out weighs me said she was craving a pepsi while she had that look of I can hardly stand to exist I'm so pregnant... so I retrieved my last. I could probably break you in half with an errant skin cell and your previous post makes me believe I could express ill thought and you would simply self destruct.

It is entirely a thread about a pregnant lady taking a Pepsi...

Op I would just have gave a passive aggressive your welcome followed by a just kidding.
Happy wife is happy man.

Addictive additives and chemical cocktails likely play a role there.

The majority of ATS members subsist on a diet of organically grown smugness, everything else is poison. I thought you knew.

Right.
Because if he had given her his last green tea or coconut water, we'd take up a collection for him.

I would not take it very personally if I were you.

I recently had a very harrowing experience, which put me in an altered state, neurochemically speaking. I arrived at a friends place shortly afterward, and upon seeing me they placed a beer in my hand, a cig in my mouth, and continued their day. It was several hours before I cottoned onto the societal requirements of that interaction, and thanked them for their understanding and hospitality.

Pregnant women can sometimes find themselves in a biochemically altered state, and might not respond to stimuli in the appropriate fashion if so altered. Of course, she could just be unfamiliar with basic concepts of politeness and decorum, but that would be an assumption I could not make without having personal interaction with the individual in question.

The key word here, in my humble opinion, is "gave". Maybe it's just me, but when I decide to give another person anything - I do so without an expectation of any kind.

That's kind of what makes it a gift.

This is all I have to say about that

Sometimes I try to do things and it just doesn't work out the way I wanted too
And I get real frustrated, and its like
And I try hard to do it and take my time
And it just doesn't work out the way I want it too
It's like I concentrate on it real hard but it just doesn't work out
And everything I do and everything I try, it never turns out
It's like I need time to figure these things out
But there's always someone there going

Hey Mike: You know we've been noticing you've been having a lot of problems lately
You know, maybe you get away, and like maybe you should talk about it,
You'll feel a lot better

And I go: No it's okay, you know I'll figure it out
Just leave me alone I'll figure it out
You know I'll just work it on myself,

And they go: Well you know if you want to talk about it I'll be here, you know
And you'll probably feel a lot better if you talk about it, so want don't you talk about it

And I go: No I don't want to, I'm okay, I'll figure it out myself
And they just keep bugging me and they just keep bugging me
And it builds up inside

So you're gonna be institutionalized
You'll come out brainwashed with bloodshot eyes
You won't have any say
They'll brainwash you until you see their way

I'm not crazy - institution
You're the one who's crazy - institution
You're driving me crazy - institution
They stuck me in an institution
Said it was the only solution
To give me the needed professional help
To protect me from the enemy - myself

I was in my room and I was just like staring at the wall thinking about everything
But then again I was thinking about nothing
And then my mom came in and I didn't even know she was there she called my name
And I didn't even hear it, and then she started screaming: MIKE! MIKE!
And I go: What, what's the matter?
And she goes: What's the matter with you?
I go: There's nothing wrong mom
And she goes: Don't tell me that, you're on drugs!
And I go: No mom I'm not on drugs I'm okay, I was just thinking you know,
Why don't you get me a Pepsi
And she goes: No you're on drugs!
I go: Mom I'm okay, I'm just thinking
She goes: No you're not thinking, you're on drugs! Normal people don't act that way!
I go: Mom just give me a Pepsi, please
All I want is a Pepsi, and she wouldn't give it to me
All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi, and she wouldn't give it to me
Just a Pepsi

They give you a white shirt with long sleeves
Tied around you're back, you're treated like thieves
Drug you up because they're lazy
It's too much work to help a crazy

I'm not crazy - institution
You're the one who's crazy - institution
You're driving me crazy - institution
They stuck me in an institution
Said it was the only solution
To give me the needed professional help
To protect me from the enemy - myself

I was sitting in my room and my mom and my dad came in
And they pulled up a chair and they sat down, they go:
Mike, we need to talk to you
And I go: Okay what's the matter
They go:
Me and your mom have been noticing lately that you've been having a lot of problems,
You've been going off for no reason and we're afraid you're gonna hurt somebody,
We're afraid you're gonna hurt yourself
So we decided that it would be in your interest if we put you somewhere
Where you could get the help that you need
And I go: Wait, what are you talking about, we decided!?
My best interest?! How do you know what's my best interest is?
How can you say what my best interest is? What are you trying to say, I'm crazy?
When I went to your schools, I went to your churches,
I went to your institutional learning facilities?! So how can you say I'm crazy?

They say they're gonna fix my brain
Alleviate my suffering and my pain
But by the time they fix my head
Mentally I'll be dead

I'm not crazy - institution
You're the one who's crazy - institution
You're driving me crazy - institution
They stuck me in an institution
Said it was the only solution
To give me the needed professional help
To protect me from the enemy - myself

It doesn't matter, I'll probably get hit by a car anyway

The moral of the story....never...ever give away your last pepsi

I think a lot of people are missing the point here, complaining about Pepsi is a poison or it's no big deal......
Where I'm from, a person gives you the last anything, you do one of 2 things: You refuse it, because it is the last one or you except it with the thanks it deserves, because this person was hospitable enough to offer you their last can of soda or whatever it may be. She wasn't. She just took it like it was expected of him to give it.
