I know it's a CT site but is anyone else interested in the Pope's visit?

Hey Buzzy :-)

After 13 years in office, House Speaker John Boehner is set to resign.

I was kinda wondering if that wouldn't be his tipping point

ETA: sometimes something will happen in our lives that kinda puts everything into perspective

Well NY was amazing. But I'm super-stoked for Philadelphia. Just wanted to give a shout out to a dear friend and a fellow ATSer from the greater Philly area. I've been praying for you, in particular that you might get to meet the Pope. We miss you.

Why was no one helping him get up the steps onto the plane as he left?

I felt so bad for him!! And his capelet blew up over his head. He stumbled at least three times.

While people at the top of the steps did NOTHING.

It was agonizing. Poor thing. He's got to be exhausted by the pace. Plus the robes and the wind was blowing very hard. He didn't miss a beat though, he turned around smiling and waving.

But see - he really DOES need our prayers, good wishes and positive vibes.

He looks younger (especially in Spacedoubts video) but 78 he has set himself a brutal pace over 5 days.

It nearly made me cry. Had I been there, I'd have dashed up those steps and helped him.

Because it would have been the right thing to do.
I was happy to see his smile when he got up there, and it was some small comfort to think that he might have been simply able to laugh it off.

Still - it broke my heart. Yeah, he's 78.

I love that guy.

And delivered all of his speeches beautifully. I was VERY impressed with his Congress speech, where he spoke English. What a kind and sincere thing to do, it was obvious he was struggling with it, too. It is very difficult to deliver an address is another language. For him to have taken the time to prepare his words and practice speaking in English adds to the proof that he is a truly genuine person.

Bravo, good sir and kind....!! A true gem of a human being.

He'll be back in Rome soon

Since he is up for wishes - I'm wishing him a a nice hot bath, a foot rub - and a big plate of his favorite pasta

2 Plates - forget doctors orders

I'm wishing him some bigger stuff too - but sometimes it's the simple things

:-)

And once he's all rested up, a good tango partner.

Did you know he dances the tango???

I love that guy. Truly. He makes my heart soar, and I'm certainly no "Christian", let alone a "Catholic Christian" or a Jesuit.

Lol! What's the astrological low down for a sag in terms of personality? Does he fit the profile?
