The unemployment rate is currently at 5.1. The Stock Market has recovered from its 2008 crash. Gay marriage can't be illegal. Marijuana laws are relaxing.

According to more RELIABLE sources there are over 100 million Americans out of work.

Unemployment rate at 5 percent BLAH.

Creative government accounting takes care of that when people that stop looking for work no longer gets counted.

Anything Obama put forward to move the US forward was torn apart by Republicans. Its their job, they cannot agree or shake hands with Obama because when it comes time for election they wont have any ammo.

I truly believe Obama had some good intentions early on, but got caught up in the quagmire that is Congress, and I don't think he had what it took to get through that quagmire. He sold out a few times, to just get something done, and I'm sad about that.

But no way did Obama set out to fail.

No, he didn't set out to fail. That's the point. Obama thinks America is a terrible country, and needs to be brought down to size. He's a anti-american utopian progressive. He thinks it's unfair that America has done so well in less than 300 years, and we must have taken advantage of the rest of the planet.

I sincerely wished Obama *had* failed at his agenda. Nothing he has done has improved the lives of every American one iota. We are making less money, we are less safe, state sovereignty has been further reduced, greater regulations and cronyism are reducing everyone's opportunity for prosperity, our debt has nearly doubled, our allies have no reason to trust us.

EDIT: Almost forgot that 'income inequality' and corporate cronyism have increased during his tenure...

Maybe if anything Obama put forward wasn't a terrible idea, and/or he had enough humility to compromise, or he realized that the increasing numbers of opposing party was a message from the People of the United States...

My wife is gainfully employed. I started a business, wildly successful no less. Everyone in my immediate family that can work, has a job and all of my close friends that can work have jobs as well. I'm not a fan of either party. But you can hardly blame one or the other for blocking what they feel is bad policy.

Last thing I want is a rubber stamp congress that just passes everything a sitting president wants.

There is no surer or quicker way to see a country fail than that.

As a "Lefty", I have absolutely no problem with all politicians being held to the same standard and held accountable for their wrongdoing.

The difference here is that while Obama deserves criticism on many issues, the level it has gone to has become insanely stupid.
