I liked Rubio and Fiorini best in last night's debate. Trump is a buffoon whose lack of substance is going to sink him fast. I like Jeb Bush but don't think he is going to make it. However, if I was voting for president today, Sanders would get my vote.

A socialist? This country was built upon capitalistic principles. Who is going to pay for the welfare state Sanders dreams of creating, where is the bankroll once he redistributes the wealth. Socialism is a PROVEN failed ideology.

I hear that a lot but it's simply not true. Sweden, Norway, Finland, and even Canada are all socialist countries and they enjoy a higher standard of living than the US.

They also have low population density, cultural homogeneity and high taxes.

Edit: and snow.

This is true, a good place to live if you can prove yourself to be a displaced (by global warming) native "artic circle' Inuit or can actually get a 'green card work visa'. Does anyone work in these countries? Not happening in Libya (another poster child welfare state).

We had really high taxes in our infancy as well. It was the cutting of them that lead us to the great depression, increased to get us out and now we are back in the cycle.

Who's unemployment; they don't have to work for a living (as a labor board of 'retired' pensioners pretending to defend the rights of their constituency) are paid for by working members union dues; OR (Linux Infrared Remote Control)? I do NOT pay my remotes to work on an hourly basis; so they may collect unemployment on the sly; no idea what they are up to when I am sleeping.

On the Republican side Kasich is my #1 pick. I went into the first debate hating him but in both debates now he has really impressed me even if I disagree with him on a few points. He knows the issues, he's articulated actual plans to solving them rather than rhetoric, he's done well in Ohio, he would carry Ohio (an important swing state) easily, he's experienced, and he has a history of respecting the views of the voters over his personal agenda.

Edit: I should add that Bush and Kasich are extremely similar on issues, the difference is that one doesn't represent a clear political dynasty. If you think Bush is actually reasonable but don't want a third Bush on principal, look into Kasich.

This is going to be an insane election. I probably lost at least a year of my life due to the 2012 elections and all the mindless BS by the media against Ron Paul, the only TRULY sane politician in decades. All the smearing, the lack of airtime, the lies, the changing of rules etc etc etc. Nope, not going to play that game again, especially when people are too stupid to see it no matter what proof you try to show them.

So much ignorant, mainstream "carrots on a stick" have been cooked up, and accepted on ATS and everywhere since then, it's sickening. This time, I'm just going to bow out and watch the masses, and even the majority on ATS buy all the BS. I will relax now, knowing that the media has won, and what is coming next will be complete chaos. The end of society. All voices of reason flushed down the toilet. I will relax now and have nothing to do with the political process anymore, knowing it's all going to sprial down quickly, as it should. We will get what we damn well deserve.

No more for me. Have fun with the BS and the fabricated fake crap on T.V. It's time to laugh now, what else can those who know the real scoop do?

I like the Stephen Colbert idea...he's extremely intelligent, very funny, and he's from my town. 😄

Other than Ben Carson, everyone else is scary. And I have never trusted Hilary since Benghazi. I don't know how she can sleep at night.
