that's Reagan's AF1 in the background....

Which is ironic as Reagan would never get the Republican nomination today based on his policies, he's not far right enough for today's Republican party.

Do not agree on this point........hes not far right enough for the CONSERVATIVE party

Im pretty sure hed be too far right for the Republican party at this point.......

And this is totally excluding the religious aspect........just my 2 cents bud

Rubio, Cruz, Huckabee, Bush and Kasich and everyone who didn't even make it to the main debate needs to drop out at this point. imho.

I don't think we would have much success by labeling them clowns!

But, I would love to see if we could send out feelers to those who may connect to our base...

say Paul, Carson, Fiorino, Kasich & Rubio for me... others may feel differently...

Personally, not interested in what the rest have to say, we will hear it through their ads, and subsequent debates...

If you can work the magic, we may just be able to have a series of shows...

if somehow that can be pulled off... the left is going to start debating in Oct... perhaps do the same with their candidates.. I know some folks around here love them some Sanders... me? I like Jim Webb...

oh well enough of the brainstorm..

People can SAY whatever they want, it is HOW they say it that I am interested in. You can pick up a lot more from the speaker by not just listening to the words but by how the speaker presents himself, and I don't like him because he is a lawyer

Thats not what you said, you said how he SOUNDS, you said he SOUNDS like a Lawyer

Well yes, the guy was a world class debator and a CONSTITUTIONAL lawyer, of course hes well spoken and measured

That doesnt mean that hes a snake, that also doesnt mean whatever he says is RIGHT

The key point is to listen

You automatically tuned him out because of how he sounded and thats not objective

Thats like me tuning out Sanders because I know hes a socialist, that doesnt mean that some of what he says is not accurate.......

objectivity in this nation has fled, and in its place is "feelings" much to our doom

That's the child-like mentality of CNN. I hope enough people joined the movement and changed channels during CNN's commercials. Give CNN egg-on-face when the Cable and Satellite providers show the advertisers how many people did NOT watch their commercials that CNN overcharged them for. Don't watch the CNN post debate analysis either. All these habits are tracked and reported to the networks, advertisers, etc..

There was a good hour 1/2 in the midst of a terrible opening, and close by the CNN crew....

wasted time, going for soundbites IMO... oh well, it's CNN they most likely ruined their best chance at a decent rating in years

Calm down. It was a 3 hour interview of 11 people and they capped it off with some fluff.

Yeah, that was pure crap. Not only did they ask lame questions but then didn't let anyone actually answer. But then most answers were nothing but "puff piece" Knob Polishing BS.

Calling that a debate is an insult to anyone who has ever debated anything.

Don't know, since Sanders doesn't appeal to me, I mentioned him since I have seen plenty of folks on ATS that find him attractive... I like Webb on the Dem side....

Yeah I thought the same thing. However, I think he is such an expert conman that he even cons himself into believing what he says and would come across as truthful no matter what.

Maybe we need someone to analyse his hair instead.

I must say I liked what Rand had to say tonight.

Was a good watch, didn't care much for some of them but Rand, Carson didn't sound all that bad.
