Well now everyday for the last seven years we have constantly been bombarded with how bad racism is in this country, and we have watched this country start tearing itself apart again. We saw it with Martin,Brown, black lives matter, and pundits on the net, and on television.

Which brings us to Joseph Goebbels:

“The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly - it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over”

J. Goebels

'Your racist' which has been shouted from the halls of congress to social media sites, to all parts in between. We have seen outrage with the Fergusons to 'flags' to the police.

Or maybe black people are finally sick of waiting for racist people to change. Seriously 400 years is a long time.

Occam's Razor applies here.

The fact that so many people hate welfare and those who claim it is also a perfact example.
thanks - good post

its psych warfare pure and simple. When you redefine everything we do as prejudicial the lemmings among us will start being like "oh yeah......so thats why i feel weird when im being approached by three young black guys with gold chains and sagging pants......im a racist!!!". Nevermind most reasonable people would feel the same way approached by three young guys dressed like thug life no matter their skin color.

Well then they are going about it the wrong way.

Hiring someone to fight their battles for them(Democrat Party) then paying them (Votes, money) is the pinnacle of INEQUALITY.

I think - neo - that you must have a very sensitive sense of self. Also, a hard time with coloring outside the lines...

Before your hackles get all raised and you start baring your teeth - this isn't an attack or even a criticism

It's an observation

What I do understand about you from reading so many of your OPs (and posts in general) is that you spend a great deal of time and effort saying: it's not us - it's them

Obviously, you feel persecuted - and on more than one front

But I have to say one thing - either you should just come out and say that you don't believe racism even exists - or, you should recognize that it does and that it exists everywhere. Always has - always will

Some people understand that life is all about the grey areas - and those people are willing to discuss a problem with that in mind. I get that you think there is some kind of hidden formula that explains everything, and if this is true, then this other truth must be contingent on that truth

I have to say, I am one of those people that doesn't see it that way - life is a mess. A convoluted, ever changing pile of chaos - which most of the time I find fascinating and beautiful

But then - it's not always - is it?

Black Lives Matter

That is a racist statement - born of racism - and it's not going to go away anytime soon

If you feel that for some reason the group you most identify with is being maligned - you might want to consider that life is not about all for one and one for all - all of the time. Only sometimes

It's OK to question your own clan - same as it's OK to question your country. In fact - our system will only be that much healthier for it if we do. If you insist on painting one group of people as evil - you are guilty of exactly that which you are criticizing

I read through these threads of yours and even when the very people you're criticizing are trying their damnedest to have a conversation with you - you refuse them

The liberals/progressives/socialists/communist pigs question themselves and argue with each other incessantly

Or - hadn't you noticed?

:-)

Considering the other party is full of xenophobes, homophobes and other fear ridden people....

Both parties suck. Period.

And Republicans take the gold medal for playing on people's worst fears, distrust, phobias and bigotry. It's been a strategy since "The Southern Strategy" in the 1960s.

And BTW: what you see as "thundering authoritarianism" is a watered down version of what most of Scandinavia has yet those countries are typically a) healthier, b) happier, c) better educated than the USA.

Like I said, both parties are about 30 years past their expiration date in my opinion.

It's time for something new. It's also time that this country get off the two-party system drug.

Do tell what makes the republicans 'xenophobes' ?

I guess it's just better to be arichphobe, gunphobe, bankerphobe.corporationphobe,Christianphobe,Jewphobe, and my personal favorite a climatephobe.

Ahem.

Republicans can't talk about social security they are trying to throw granny of the cliff.

Republicans can't talk about foodstamps they want people to starve.

Republicans don't support climate change they want people to die from drinking, dirty water, breathing dirty air.

And The planet is out to get us!.

Republicans take the 'gold' metal ?

Not even close.

The top honors goes to the Democrats.

Why is racism an issue in the 21st century? Because it exists, we've expanded the bounds as to what constitutes intolerance, and the internet exists. There's no other reason.

Why it exists is because of politics.

And it is the Democrats best weapon of mass distraction in their arsenal.

That's why it exists, and is not going away.

Silly me the topic was about the Democrats world view.

Thanks for the red herring.

A Red Herring is a fallacy in which an irrelevant topic is presented in order to divert attention from the original issue. The basic idea is to "win" an argument by leading attention away from the argument and to another topic. This sort of "reasoning" has the following form: Topic A is under discussion. Topic B is introduced under the guise of being relevant to topic A (when topic B is actually not relevant to topic A). Topic A is abandoned. This sort of "reasoning" is fallacious because merely changing the topic of discussion hardly counts as an argument against a claim.

Not really.

Get back to me when you want to talk about the racist history of the Democratic party instead of just deflecting it.
