Uncompromising ethics, immense amounts of virtue, incredible feats of herculean worth--these qualities are what normally define a superhero.
And these exact traits are what we all should aspire to have.
The icons of today are placed upon pedestals and venerated from afar, worshiped from a distance like others could never climb towards and aspire unto
those heights. Thus those standing beneath those paragons of humanity are forced towards craning up their necks to look upon greatness, wasting time
admiring the feats of others instead of doing something far more productive:
Ascending those heights for themselves.
We within us all have the potential for excellence. We within us all have the chance to become great.
All it takes is an unflagging attitude and an unyielding drive--then you too can begin working towards bringing out the superhero in yourself.
To accomplish this you need not dress up in mask and costume and roam the streets fighting crime in search of the next supervillian.
To accomplish this all you need do is believe in yourself--then handle every situation in your life like you were the hero in a movie.
Rescue the person stranded in a snowdrift. Help the homeless man by bringing him a sandwich. Pay for the person behind you in the drive-through.
And always, always, always project love and kindness into the world.
Modern superheroes aren't necessarily vigilante ecoterrorists who blow up oil rigs and open hundreds of cages at animal shelters. Modern superheroes
are those who go above and beyond to demonstrate abilities that far too many in modern society lack: Courage, helpfulness, compassion, selflessness,
and love.
These are traits any of us can embody. These are abilities all of us can cultivate.
So ask yourself: What's holding you back?
What's keeping you from becoming the best possible version of yourself?
What's stopping you from becoming a real life superhero?
The answer, of course, is nothing but yourself.
Only you are preventing you from ascending unto greater heights. Only you are keeping you from becoming an exemplar idol for the masses.
People today are so mesmerized with staring at and admiring so-called examples of greatness that they never realize simply standing back admiring the
view will never bring them aloft unto those heights.
So instead of standing there idolizing others, work towards developing your spirit until you evolve enough where others idolize you.
And instead of searching the skies for men in capes searching for crime, start looking in the mirror working towards finding the superhero in
yourself.
