I would rather vote for Sanders to spend 18 T to build a better country, rather than vote for the others that would spend who knows how much on war, prisons and corporate welfare.

Doesn't matter if Bernie was to spent 20 Trillion, because all the other candidates will attempt to do the same. The question is where is the money going to go?

Who are they on? Who do you think? Everyone.....you think they are going to make a plan that only taxes corporations and rich people? That is almost as funny as being able to keep your own doctor with Obamacare.....

I am not rich, but I do make a good living. I pay 40% of my income in tax already. I want a freakin break. I don't want to pay for free education and healthcare for those that can't do for themselves. When you start handing out "free" stuff that is actually NOT free because people like me are paying for it, you get a very unhappy group of people who are the ones that are footing the bill.

You're preaching to the choir.

Funny thing is I don't even really consider myself a conservative though I agree with points on both sides of things. I really just like the above infographic because it speaks volumes about the way progressives/socialists think.

Let's take that a bit further.

"I think you should pay for your own roads, police, military (wars), firemen and every other public service paid for by the wealth of the public collective. This isn't because I'm conservative. It's because I'm a regressive asshole."

How does that sound? Doesn't sound very good, does it?

Too many people have no problem with socialist programs when they benefit directly, but then complain about programs that benefit everyone. Socialism is and has been part of this nation and we could use a little more of it. I know you don't like contributing to the prosperity of this country, but you have options. You can move to another nation that practices true conservatism.

Let me know when you find one.

I enjoy Sanders and trump enjoy seeing them throw monkey wrenches in the works. But even socialist must admit in order for someone to gain someone else must lose on the monetary front. To say all socialist programs benefit everyone is false. Just be honest about it

Imagine a world...

"Dude, you didn't opt for the platinum fire department service? Well, I guess you never figured that your neighbors house would catch yours on fire, and that fire caused by another home wasn't going to be covered under your silver private fire department plan."

Or...

"I hate driving to the other side of town. No one there pays for their own street lamps and it's so dark I'm afraid I won't see the pot holes in the road. You know, not everyone has paid for their own patch of road -- so it's falling apart pretty badly. The only safe places to drive are in the richest areas of town, and I can't drive there...I haven't paid all the people there for access to use their roads..."

Or...

"Hi, 911? My husband is having a heart attack...well yes, I do have 911 coverage. No, I don't have that upgrade...so you're telling me that an ambulance only is a part of the platinum EMS package? What!? He's dying!! No, I can't afford to upgrade now. No, I don't think CPR will work!"

Exactly!

The Neo Cons want wars and tax breaks at the same time, now who do you think they want to pay the costs?

I will give everyone a clue, it will not be the 1%!

Cut benefits for the poor and raise taxes on the working class, no they would never do such a thing, lol's.

Ha! Like I said...I already contribute 40% of everything I make to this country....I am essentially paying for another family of 5 to live how I do for free......

Let me know when you find a job that gives you 40% commission for doing nothing.....

And what was it that the Iran and Afghan wars cost? And what did the average American gain from those outlays?
Like, there's always enough money to go around if it's for killing brown people.

Wars eventually end, entitlements do not.

Also nice way of trying to bring race in to it...

Stop deflecting and talk about the topic.

Thanks.

How is this deflecting from the topic?
The op was about money being spent.
Wars cost money.
I'd rather my taxes go to something else.

It's really easy to demonize the poor. It's basic human nature to enjoy feeling better than someone else.

The wealthy love pitting the middle class against the poor...it keeps the largest chunks of society distracted away from them.

Networks like FOX do a really good job convincing people that they are in a higher tax bracket than they are, and at the same time being robbed by the people poorer than them. The reality is that they're underpaid, under appreciated and being manipulated into some kind of abusive relationship.

Just like in an abusive relationship, the victim often times makes excuses for the abuser..."He really does love me, he didn't mean to hurt me so badly -- If I just listen to what he says he won't get so angry and hurt me. He's really a good person despite giving me a black eye and breaking my ribs! I'm lucky just to even have him!"

It's cool though bc liberals, the lowly group who can't afford its own healthcare or get to the dmv, think it's the right idea.

Seriously I can't distinguish between theft and liberalism. If some little liberal Starbucks cuck came at me on the street and demanded my wallet, I'd end his life no problem. I don't get how it's acceptable in this society for that same Starbucks cuck to vote for Bernie so he can steal my wallet.

If this guy gets in I wouldn't want to be without some guns.

How much has been spent on war?

$2 Trillion dollars...
www.reuters.com...

...which is approximately equal to what the US spent on Social Security, Medicare, and social welfare in 2014, alone.
www.cbpp.org...

Yup. There's a reason you don't see entitlement and military spending on the same pie chart, it ruins the narrative!

Elites should pay 40%? Why should they pay more than you or me? What's the incentive to become wealthy? Let's pretend I own a business. My business is doing well, and it's not even Wal MArt or Mcdonalds! I know, pretty shocking that small businesses still exist, huh? But we're doing okay. In fact, we could even expand and provide for jobs to our local economy! Oh, except it makes more sense to NOT make more money because we'd effectively be working harder for the same pay thanks to your tax tier.
You see this mentality all the time in those who are on unemployment. They won't take just any job because they "earn" more by receiving benefits. It's the same reason people working in the service industry don't report their cash tips. Only someone with absolutely no grasp on reality would fail to understand that.

How does taxing people more than they are already being taxed, to pay for things they are not personally using, equate to demonizing the poor? It is a simple fact that not everyone can or will work the same as everyone else. People live within their means. Why tax the workers more? Focus on bring the cost of things down instead....it's insane the inflation that has happened on everything these days with taxes getting higher every year and wages getting smaller for those that are paying the most in tax.

Really you used Trump and logic in the same sentence, now that is funny!

You don't suppose that the christian right just want war to hasten the the Armageddon and their admittance into heaven?

Edit: My point is Sanders would postpone their desired Armageddon.

Because they owe a lot of back taxes since they have been using the loopholes and letting the American people foot the bill for so long.
