Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders is proposing new programs that would amount to the largest peacetime expansion of government in modern U.S. history. (WSJ-subscription)

WSJ

So, Bernie Sanders plans to more than DOUBLE the national debt. His programs are not realistic and simply cannot be executed without absolutely destroying the American economy. How anyone believes he can accomplish his ideas or that he will even try is beyond me. He is full of hot air.

There simply is no way this country can afford Bernie Sanders.

Don’t worry Bernie Sanders won’t get elected because he makes too much sense.

He says take care of ALL the people not just the few elite billionaires and millionaires and their puppets in the political structure who protect those precious elite rich ones as they bribe and buy them.

ALL the republican candidates are ALL bought and sold to the devil, and Trump is one of them.

and Hillary, the wicked Witch of the West as well...

Personally, I wouldn't care if Bernie's plans cost 100 trillion dollars. At least he makes me feel he cares about the American people and not the corporations.

Every candidate will make you feel something. None ever end up sticking to their word or are ever held accountable by anyone. Sanders isn't where he is because he doesn't care about the corporations.

He would sink the US in debt should he win.

This kind of attitude is delusional for several reasons.

1) It DOES matter if we can afford something regardless of your warm and fuzzy feelings and...

2) Bernie has no intention of actually doing any of the things he is promising just like the last liar that you all fell for...Obama.

We need a leader not a pie in the sky liar.

I would say that Bernie Sanders sounds good to many but, that is a far cry from making sense.

I don't think it is anything new, just more unapologetically socialist which is what many want to hear.

The ultimate measure is the efficacy of any particular policy, not its psychic appeal.

"Much of the social history of the Western world, over the past three decades, has been a history of replacing what worked with what sounded good."

-Thomas Sowell

Anyone who thinks a single one of the candidates is not bought off is fooling themselves. You don't get to the positions they are in without skeletons in the closet and a lot of money being stuffed in your pocket by large corporations and donors.

That's the biggest problem. You're going to vote on your feelings.

We all felt like Obama was going to bring change. "Yes We Can" Didn't that FEEL good to say.

Sanders is all about mopping up the votes of saps who want to feel good about themselves by doing what's "best" for everyone, no matter what the consequences.

That's your right though.

So long as you feel good.

And what was it that the Iran and Afghan wars cost? And what did the average American gain from those outlays?
Like, there's always enough money to go around if it's for killing brown people.

That's what cracks me up about those who complain about the 1%, the Billionaires of the world are NOT the 1%! Ever notice how when Forbes comes out with their "World's Wealthiest" that they only show businesspersons? Who do the governments owe their trillions too, and who owns those banks? That is the 1% and also those who dictate foreign policy to their puppet governments!

Bernie is purposely misleading his believers as to who the "evil ones" truly are!

Stop deflecting and talk about the topic.

Thanks.

I guess he could take in all the refugees in the world and use them as cheap labor to churn out products for the US economy, making $18 Trillion in chotchkies to sell to the rest of the world....GO BERNIE!

Not one can "do all this". Free college, free healthcare, free whatever, it's unrealistic and unattainable. It just sounds good to the gullible.
