For Real (poem)

For Real

I let you see, what I want you to see,
But beneath it all, this is the real me.
Each part of my life, a grain of sand,
That comes together and forms who I am.

On the outside, I still look the same.
But on the inside, I constantly change.
To become more then, what I once was,
Yet, never changing, my appearance.

The thoughts and ideas, constantly flowing,
As I continue to learn, keep on growing.
Even when I take a moment to pause,
My head never really, fully shuts off.

Thanks for sharing and taking the time Blend 57. I haven't learned nearly as much as I should have probably but have kept my nose to the grinding wheel. I may not have learned enough of the right subject but have found avenues of interest that keep me wanting to live another day.
