Just because I don't like religion it doesn't mean I dislike people and want them to suffer.

Clearly and I meant no offense.
I indicated my surprize only from a state of not knowing.
Not a formed opinion.

Sigh..I have read the Bible probably more than most.

Look guys for once lets put our religious views aside for once and all agree PEOPLE are being killed and they are fleeing a war zone.
Heck they could all be green and believe in Satan and it shouldn't matter they all need our help and love their kids as much as we do.
Empathy folks empathy.

Typical......what about the non-christian refugees?

What are YOU doing.

We have Organizations funded by the people to actually make a difference. Please find one that you like and make a difference.

And YOU think making a thread in which you demonstrate your prejudice is doing something?

Raising awareness and donating... yes. Yes I do, at least I hope so.

Dont feed the trolls.
If you do , it never ends.

And to think, a calculated false flag know as 9/11, has been the cold-blooded catalyst for untold human genocide and suffering, in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen, and beyond.

I am for any and every refugee to find refuge somewhere.
The US should take in more, regardless of their religion.

Just wonder if we are going to scrutinize the Christians ones as much.

Probobly because they had a hand in the creation of ISIS. End of the day the atrocities need to stop on both sides. We bomb them, or who we suspect, and 10 years down the line the survivor's become the new terrorist. Vicious circle does not even begin to cover it.

P.S. it's been done ad nauseum

Well I dont know about you but Im sure most members on ATS create threads to inform other users. We know it wont make much difference. Informing people of avenues that COULD make a difference is certainly more than what you are doing pal.

The Muslim nations need to lead the charge for it to work tbh with our help.
We should be helping Assad wipe these out then ask him to stand down.

It happens every day, you read an article about the genocides happening in Syria, or see a picture of a starving refugee child in Turkey and you want to help. You recognize the injustice, thinking, "something must be done." But that's where the thought stops. You click out of the article, you keep scrolling past the image. Your thought never turns to action and nothing ever gets done.

Here at Mercury One we are saying "something must be done" and then we are actually taking action. We are no longer willing to stand by idly. We aim to raise awareness about the genocides happening in the Middle East, accrue aid for the refugees, and cultivate a nation that will say "Never Again Is Now!"

But we can't act alone, we need help - we need a nation of people willing to join us in taking action.

This is where you should stop scrolling and say "I am going to do something." Really say it out loud. "I am going to do something!"

Say it to your computer screen. Say it to the person sitting next to you. Scream it across the room if you have to, because now it should be welling up in your chest and you should be ready to take action.

Tend to agree, but as to Assad standing down, if ISIS were defeated in Syria he will be hailed a hero of sorts. He's not going to want to step away from the limelight.

Im sure they will all be treated the same upon arrival into the US. The US Govt aren't Christian themselves so why would they offer preferential treatment?

The reports state the Christians are the main targets so it makes sense to try to help them. I know the muslims are targeted also but it seems the Christians will be the most in danger at the moment. We should help them all, obviously, it just seems some people dont want to help the Christians, for some reason. They are communities that are thousands of years old, and no one is helping them.

Let's find them and post them (not the ones the government is contracting but the organizations that are out there doing it now independently):

This one

Flüchtlinge Willkommen, or "Refugees Welcome," is essentially an Airbnb for refugees in Germany and Austria, created by a couple based out of Berlin. Refugees can apply to be matched with a participating German or Austrian resident as a roommate. More than 400 refugees have applied so far, and 124 have been successfully matched.

Refugees Welcome helps participants pay rent and utilities through donations. You can help by supporting the crowdfunding campaign

They kill anyone and everyone they want to.
www.thedailybeast.com...

Currently the US is going to accept 10k refugees, but it is going to take up to two years to go through background checks.

So I wonder if the refusal is more that they are going through the same checks as everyone else.

People are people to infinity in retrospect and far beyond tomorrow.
Their beliefs are defined by their oppressors.
