Yes. I'm bored.
Think about it though. Lovecraft's god vs Robert E. Howard's.

Cthulhu and Crom.

I lean towards Crom because he's just a major dick.

Crom sounds like an allegory for death.
-Gloomy, indifferent
-"...sole gift to man is to bestow them at birth the courage to survive, perservere and vanquish adversity" (from wiki)

Will Crom consume you when he comes back? Cthulhu will. Mortals are yummy!

I'd rather see a Jesus vs Buddha mash up.

*Spoiler* Buddha would see that Jesus doesn't really exist.

eta: oh, and Cthulhu would likely mop up... but as their powers are poorly defined (other than indifference and appetite) I'd just go with power of nerd name recognition... which, though veeeery close, Cthulhu wins on.

Yeah but we can agree that either would eat Voldemort and then take a dump.

Don't know much about "Crom" What about Cthulhu vs Grendel from Beowulf? How about a all star mash up Featuring Crom, Cthulhu, Grendel, Behemoth and Leviathon in a giant cage match? The winner gets to fight Godzilla.

Nah. Mortals and close mortals. Nothing to them BUT if you want to see the best(imo) Beowolf movie it's this one:

Ok Intrepid, not trying to go off topic. But this is what Beowulf has always been for me. This was back when a $.25 comic was thick when all the others where $.10. This comic had great art and the whole story. It's not rare by any means either. Go to a comic shop. I am sure you will find it relatively cheap, like a few bucks. $5 at the most. Not bad for a vintage comic.

I loved the art and it inspired me to draw, which in turn inspired others who became much better than me. Step brothers and such.
Enjoy!
Seriously check out this cover! Awesomeness!

I get it. Savage Sword in the 70's was awesome but the stories man. Ahhhhh so much better. Books. I hope those don't disappear in my time. I'd rather hold a book than a "device".

I had a paperback years ago also and it was called Medieval Myths, it had them all Beowulf, Story of Roland, The Cid and many more. I really liked several of these old Myths cause most dealt with inter world dwellers or even giants. Kinda like the hollow earth theories and the old school Journey to the center of the earth movies and books. kinda makes you wonder?

That was another of my fav's growing up. Edgar Rice Burroughs. Yeah he did Tarzan but he wrote SO much more. John Carter. The books were good the movie sucked. Carson of Venus(4 good books). AND Pellucider. The hollow earth.

Man. I'm digging my own thread.
