Clinton ISN'T get her ass handed to her by Trump though.

Good point...Thanks.
Hillary is getting her Gluteus Maximus handed to her by 77 year old, socialist, Bernie Sanders...even more devastating for her coronation.

Unfortunately she's still beating him in the polls too... Though he has gained CONSIDERABLE ground against her recently. I'll give you that. Trust me, I'm no Clinton supporter, but she is still definitely the front runner, much to my chagrin.

Trump has won the hearts of many, many
black people by proving to the world that
even a rap artist can be a compassionate,
smart and insightful person and that
racist judgements should be left at the door.

Trump in my opinion, has the black vote
and no geriatric white politician has a
chance next to him for the black vote.

Seriously you should write for the Onion you are that good...

They ALL need to go.

There are reasons the OGs from way back in the day detested political parties.

I'm really getting a large dose of the rapid non-fact based opinions of the rapid Trump supporters. Here I have posted a well sourced opening thread that paints a vivid picture that Trump is all the wrong answers for the Republican party, and instead of even ADDRESSING those stats and points, they ignore them completely to repeat the same tired rhetoric we see in all the other Trump threads (all unsourced claims too).

Like I said, I'm not siding with my friends here wanting your party to die. I LIKE the competition as an independent. More choices is a GOOD thing. Trump is KILLING all of that by pigeonholing all REAL political decisions to one side of the political aisle. The left. He is dragging the other Republican candidates down with him too.

But I mean if you are REALLY insisting on supporting this clown, at least come back with some MEAT on your arguments instead of just empty rhetoric... You are just reinforcing my points in the OP when you do that.

I know this post was not directed at just me.
However, if you think I'm supporting Trump right now, well you are off base.

I am saying he can win and I think it is quite clear he can win.
That is quite different from supporting policies.

If he teamed up with Fiorina
(who is really my current first choice),
they would be unbeatable.
Because despite any "meat",
despite any policy facts or deep issues.
People are sick and tired of the political class
and feel the political class has nearly destroyed this country.

What we are seeing has zero to do with policy,
it has to do with people being fed up with the
professional politician
whose only real concern is the next election
and doing whatever it takes to insure their
party wins (at the expense of truly caring about
the people or the country)

This "problem" of Trump,
is not a meaty issue oriented,
policy oriented one.
It is a visceral reaction
to the professional political class
who for too long have
put their own self interest
above that of the people.
The people are finally
waking up to that.

Trump could have just as easily chosen
to run as a Democrat,
and the exact same thing would have happened.

You miss the point when you think
this is about policy or issues, it's not at all.
It is all about wanting a real change,
someone who appears to care more about the country
than insuring
they or their party get votes.

That is the appeal and why Trump is extreme trouble,
not just for the Republicans but for the Democrats as well.

Actually the only politician that ever detested political parties was George Washington, and he really wasn't a politician. He was a soldier. Every President since then has embraced political parties. Hell, they were STARTED in Washington's cabinet by Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson (you know, the third President?). So I don't know which history books you've been reading, but you may want to try some different ones.

Sources for ALL of your "bias free facts", please.

Does being a self-styled "absurdist" allow you to get away with that? Did you just call the OP a "rabid progressive/liberal"? Personally attacking him and judging him? (Yes, you did.)

But, but, you never mean to personally attack anyone, right? You never are actually judging a person's character. You're just trolling to stir the fecal odor up....Isn't that what you told us all last week?

Trump is an arrogant, bloviating, chauvinist idiot and bully; he has no "filter" at all......
oh wait. Maybe that's why you feel so drawn to him....like minds and all....

but, I don't know. You seem irrational to me.

Now run along and find some respectable sources for all your claims. And some way to backpedal what you said, because it contradicts your 'self image' as expressed by you very clearly...last week, in your nifty little rant.

Are you going to PROVE any of your points with actual sources? Your words mean little to me after many times speaking to you and witnessing you embellish facts with your own opinions all the time. So forgive me, but if you want whatever you are saying to carry any weight with me, source your claims. Plus you've already put me on the defensive with your character assassination you made against me in your first post in the thread.

Thank you.
I know this one has gone viral.
They have also put out a few more which
have also gone viral.

Also, all the other facts about his show
are right there for anyone to see,
if people don't believe me they can
binge watch it and it is quite plain
that Trump has gone out of his way
to bust negative stereotypes of
black people.

If people think it is a bad thing that
he has gone out of his way on his
TV show to bust negative and racist
stereotypes of black people, because
he is a Republican candidate,
then they are showing the true colors
of the Democratic party supporters.

I dunno. I think that if they lose badly enough in this next election, it could be a big time wakeup call for them. We haven't had a singular party win more than 3 Presidential elections in a row since WWII.

I think they had a big wake-up call in 2008 too, they just hit the snooze button and slept right through it.

It's going to take a radical change of heart to reform the GOP into anything politically viable and I'm not sure how you would even orchestrate such a feat with a group that's centered around hatred and bigotry.

The best answer I've heard Hillary give to any question ask of her so far was the one she gave to the gentleman from Black-Lives-Matter when she told him that we can change laws and policies but we can't force people into a change of heart.

Haters will be haters and the most important thing we can do is to insure they don't get the chance to legislate their hatred on others.

You certainly won't see me crying any crocodile tears over the demise of the modern day GOP.

Yes, we will see.

I put more trust in polls, all though admittedly not much, than I do the hunch of someone that puts their faith in television shows and Youtube videos.

I am looking at sociological trends as a
social scientist. Yes I could be wrong,
but time will tell, I really think I have
a strong hunch here though.

As for polls, I taught how they can be
manipulated for so long and ripped them
apart for my students, that I know the
poll is only as honest as the creator
of the poll. If one looks at polls created
by all sides, they will differ greatly,
however, they will show an overall trend.
But individual polls by say MSNBC or a
national pollster known to have slanted
polls that on election day prove to be
wildly wrong (that happens every election),
well I have no faith in them at all. Nor
would you if you saw how biased and shoddy
the polling can be as I have.

But, time will tell.

OP...I have read enough of your posts to see your annoyed.

The "GOP" is getting ready to have a fight for its soul.

Trump talks like a regular person. Warts and all. People like that.

I have no idea who's going to win.

Trump doesn't have to be perfect. He's not a Politician. He gets a break.

IMO...The GOP must change its current form. Into what ? Don't know.

LOL!!!! Riiigght.
My sweet backside. Or, wait - you're being an absurdist again, right? Never mind. Glenn Beck calls himself a "social scientist", too, doesn't he? Just guessing.

Whatever.
You "might" be wrong? About which part? Krazysh0t's rabies, or Trump's heroic efforts to make more money as a reality-show actor? Or being a 'social scientist'?

I give up. Now - did you find those sources? Youtube does not count. Neither does a scripted "reality show".

The only people I know that talk like that are ignorant right-wingers that tend to be racially intolerant, hates gays and loves Jesus. THAT is why he is so popular among the right.

It's going to continue down the road of intolerance, idiocy and hatred....leaving conservatism in the ditch along the way. Well, they pretty much already did that, didn't they?

Very brave comment, in today's world. Could be perceived as a threat against party members.

I know that is not what you meant.

Does the DNC need to go away as well, considering you feel both partys are no better than each other?
If so, what do you see as replacement for our two party system?

Dunno.

Apparently, everyone sees the same problems, it's the solutions that differentiate us.

My two cents. Trump is going to get the republican bid. The media is pushing him on us, everywhere you turn Trump this, trump that. American people are sheep, easily manipulated by marketing campaigns, such as name recognition. He is a brand the people will vote for in the primaries. Meanwhile, the other side will get who they want in position, then when the real election comes, Trumps name will disappear from the news. Not even negative information, to drop the brand recognition.

The way it looks, it will be Biden as the next POTUS.

Well, yeah, he could kill it.

On the other hand, he just might win the damned thing.

He might? How do you figure that? Your hopes and desires?

More likely the plain fact that he will have no real competition.

Can ANY Repub beat him? I doubt it. And so do the latest polls.

Biden or Clinton? Gimme a break. Many slam those they assume might vote for Trump, but what kind of people would really and truly vote for the hair-sniffing gaffe machine or the Arkansas mafia-queen herself?

And Sanders? Yeah, no. He can't even hang with Hillary. He's the flavor of the week and will be the answer to a trivia question within five years ... "Which briefly internet -popular presidential hopeful identified as a socialist in the 2016 campaign?"

Meanwhile, Trump is appealing to more and more Americans, and yes, that will include the jobless and suffering black vote, being The demographic that most often competes with illegals for jobs.

Despite the fevered wishes and lame proclamations of the establishment, Trump is very very electable, in my opinion.

(just the existence of this show in the magazine that it is an important show in the lives of black people)

But I won't binge watch the TV show
and pick out clips for you.

Just read any ATS thread on politics
the past few months and you will see
one common theme.
Disgust and contempt for the professional politician.
It is open
it is obvious.

ATS is a microcosm of sociological and anthropological
life around the world, and especially in the US.
When one discounts the repeaters who say the
same basic things over and over, and looks at the
broader consensus.
A picture emerges.

The picture I see is a complete and total
distrust and dislike for the professional politician.
That is my observation.
My opinion.

That's all the proof I have to offer and go ahead
and scoff, I expect it. When someone can only
reply with a cartoon or an insult or a challenge
with no substance; it only says to me that their
argument is weak and can not be substantiated with
intelligent discourse.

I think that in this election, if it is not rigged,
that a non-professional politician can win
if the elections are fair and honest,
regardless of their party affiliation,
and regardless of their policies and issues.
Which I have my doubts elections in the US are not rigged,
(this is a conspiracy website after all)
as did the Democrats
when Bush was first elected.
