LOL,

Now he pissed off everyone trying to be PC. Democrats (of course) are crying about a term and Republicans want to know why he is going off on the Asians???

Idiot.

Well, I guess he can get Hillary as his running mate?

abcnews.go.com...

Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush has ignited a firestorm once again -- saying his use of the controversial term "anchor babies" is "more related to Asian people."

"What I was talking about was the specific case of fraud being committed where there's organized efforts -- and frankly it's more related to Asian people -- coming into our country, and having children, in that organized effort, taking advantage of a noble concept, which is birthright citizenship,” said Bush, adding, "I support the 14th amendment.”

"Governor Bush was highlighting that “birth tourism” is a well-reported serious and growing problem, one that the Department of Homeland Security has been grappling with addressing," she said in a statement.

A Chump cannot out-trump Trump!

He should just own it.

This is why Trump continues to be popular. People are tired of using a descriptive term for a phenomena - having a baby who is granted insta-citizenship - and then being granted some kind of proxy-status because no one wants to be mean to you and break up the family. Hence, anchor baby. The baby as the citizen anchors you here even though you have no legal right to stay.

And for the PC crowd, some of us have hated PC with a passion ever since we were first told that we couldn't call short people short (and other similar). We had to use "vertically challenged" and other such nonsense to avoid hurting their feelings. It doesn't matter what colorful euphemism you come up with to try to appear sensitive, you are still calling them short it just takes you way more words and letters than simply saying what you mean - short.

So this is why we despise it. All it does is make you feel good about yourself without actually changing any dialogue in any real or meaningful way.

The Jeb campaign was doomed from Day 1. First, Daddy Bush made WAAAYYY too overt a comment about the NWO, then Big Brother Bush gets elected twice, and I'm pretty sure we all know how that turned out. You'd basically have to have a husband who got a b'Jay in the Oval Office to have a worse chance of running on a famous name...
Or made one of her seriously bad decisions. Take your pick.

And, yet again, my dear Ketsuko, your insight is crystal. Jeb might have stood a chance a month ago, even against Trump. But, unlike the Donald, he relies heavily on Focus Groups, and what the Washington Insider Republicans want him to be.
Poor guy. He's going to be the first Also-Ran to Donald Trump. How terrible must that feel?

Yeah, I'm sure Asians are the primary culprits having anchor babies...

Jeb is such a pantywaist.

If Hillary had just a little less testosterone, she'd be Jeb.

I'll just go ahead and say it.

"Go home Jeb, you're drunk."

If that remark about Asians was passed through his campaign staff, and not just something he came up with while talking about it on the spot, then his staff is possibly incontinent, ah, I mean incomprehensible, ah, I mean incompetent. Somewhere in there. If Jeb alone said this, his crackerjack staff must be doing a lot of forehead slapping and face palming, and secretly looking around to see who else may be hiring.

I think you meant 'incontinent', as well as incompetent. As in, they thought he was the inevitable Republican nominee, and here comes Trump, so they are wetting themselves in fear of losing to an overblown toupee.

Wow... Old Jeb all of the sudden doesn't think that it's APPROPRIATE to keep pulling the PC Card??? Only because it was pulled on him! I didn't see him doing anything to quell the PC Card extravaganza when Trump was hit with one (or two, or three lol).

Funny how that works...

Let's see if he bellies up to the bar the next time it happens to someone else besides him.

That would require willpower other than that officially sanctioned by his party. Not sure he has any.

I'm thinking that he's lacking a lot more than willpower. I hope we don't find out what those things are first hand.

It is an offensive term. He should have just said 'I'm not going to use that term". But, he shifted the term to another race. It is a bad idea all around to say that. These are natural born US citizens under the 14th amendment.

My thoughts also. I just didn't want to seem chauvinistic by saying balls.

That's a gray area. It isn't specific enough to determine whether it is intended only for people here under legal status.

I like Trump's response better:

Why? It is somehow good to be offensive now? Bad to avoid offensive terms? I have no idea what the 'so called' religious, ethical right is going for. It is the opposite of what they portray.
